For a diner that offers a coffee menu they have a lot to learn about serving a good cup of coffee. The tepid liquid was barely discernible as coffee. Even after they attempted to warm it, it was hardly above room temperature. Coffee was all I had and I would not return for another cup. My wife and I were running errands in South Boston, VA (August 13, 2025) and stopped in at Southern Plenty for lunch. We both had the English Blend V - house pimento cheese and fresh greens on a warm butter croissant. The pimento cheese was layered on thick and had a tangy flavor. Delicious! I also had the sweet macaroni salad as a side. The macaroni was surprisingly light and the bits of red onion in it added a refreshing crunch factor. Wait staff were friendly and greeted customers...
My family and I adore Southern Plenty. Top tier pastry chefs!!!!!! The baked goods are divine…….unique and exciting flavors……delicious specialty latte flavors…….Great music, cozy atmosphere and lovely friendly staff!!!
I purchased the most beautiful and HUGE tomatoe pie for $24 that completely stuffed my family of 4 for dinner with leftovers! What a great deal!!!
