Dairy Queen (Treat)

Love Dairy Queen, but the lady working there is very rude. She clearly ignored me and my mom even though we were standing two feet away from her, then turned around with a very creepy smile and claimed she “didn’t hear us”. She doesn’t seem hard at hearing just a very rude individual that shouldn’t be working at an ice cream store. I live around here so I’ll be visiting again, but next time I have a rude encounter with staff I’m calling corporate.

It was amazing lochan was the best worker I've met! So nice and made the best looking ice cream cone I've ever had. Such a kind soul. Will return.

I visited the Dairy Queen in South Riding about two years ago and ordered an Oreo Blizzard. Unfortunately, it was a huge disappointment. The Blizzard was mostly Oreo cookies, with barely any vanilla ice cream. The ice cream was way too soft and melted quickly. I figured it might have been an off day—maybe their machines weren’t working properly, and the ice cream wasn’t freezing as it should.

I decided to give them another shot and went back a couple of times, but each time I had the same issue. It seems like they are trying to lower their energy costs by running their ice cream machines less frequently or at different temperatures, and then overloading their Blizzards with mix-ins to compensate for the poorly frozen ice cream. Given that part of their motto is that the Blizzard shouldn’t fall out when tipped upside down, it felt like they were cutting corners to make sure it stayed thick by adding extra mix-ins.

After these experiences, I stopped going to that location for about two years. Today, I decided to give them another chance, hoping the situation had changed. Unfortunately, I was met with the exact same problem. My blizzard was once again mostly mix-ins in a runny, melted ice cream base.

Needless to say, I won’t be returning to this location. If you’re looking for a Dairy Queen, I highly recommend choosing any location but this one.

The associate finished with the person in front of me, and then began helping the person behind me. When I said that I was next, I was told no she was here before. But she wasn't. I was waiting in line the whole time. I just stood there dumbfounded for a couple of seconds. Then, I turned around and walked out of the store without purchasing anything. Absolutely, unbelievably, unacceptable. I will never ever be come back to this store again.

This is the best Dairy Queen in nova! I’ve been to the one in Vienna, Fairfax, Ashburn…this is by far the best one! They are the most generous with blizzard toppings and cone sizes!

***beware of attempted fraud!***This location will charge you higher prices than listed on their menu. When you question it, they claim it’s how their manager told them to do it. Go to a different location.

They charge for a Royal Blizzard even if you don’t get one. When I confronted the staff on the price difference they said that’s “how we have been trained”. That’s fraud. Check your price next time they are over charging. Staff is also quite rude.If I ordered the same blizzard online I get the Real price not the inflated Royal Blizzard price. I I said that to the staff they said I could just order online. What a joke!

Besides DQ being gross the owners are not friendly. Wow just saw all these terrible reviews. I guess it's not just me. The owners definitely need to change.
