I went in with my family, and we all ordered the lamb chops platter be mindful, it’s $26 per platter. The menu description says it comes with qabuli rice, chickpeas, and salad. However, the guy at the front desk came by and told me that the chickpeas would be charged separately, and so would the salad.

When the food came out, it only had plain brown rice with three chops that’s all, for $26. I asked him to bring the chickpeas as mentioned in the description, and he brought a small bowl, saying it was enough for everyone. But when I went to pay, he charged me an extra $6 for the chickpeas.

That’s not all when I looked at my receipt later, there was also a $20 “service charge” listed as an item which in result was getting taxed ant end even. This is outrageous. Never coming back

My wife and I both had the Shami lunch special, which is a ground beef kabob and is served with a rice pilaf. A side of chickpeas and spinach is served on the side. Also included was a basket of fresh, hot pita bread. We added a side of chicken kabob just to try it. The food was incredibly delicious. The meats were tender and flavorful, cooked perfectly. I especially enjoyed the chickpeas and spinach. I am definitely coming back for lunch again!

I can’t say enough good things about this Afghan restaurant—it’s hands-down my number one dining spot! I’ve visited twice, once with family and once with friends, and both experiences were absolutely phenomenal. The food is a burst of authentic Afghan flavors, with perfectly spiced kebabs, tender lamb dishes, and fragrant rice that leave you wanting more. The mantu dumplings and aushak are pure comfort food, and the vegetarian options are just as delicious, catering to everyone in our group. The ambiance is warm and inviting, with a cozy, cultural charm that makes every meal feel special. The staff are incredibly friendly, attentive, and passionate about sharing their cuisine, which elevates the experience even further. Whether it’s the rich flavors, generous portions, or the heartfelt hospitality, this place has won us over completely. If you’re looking for an unforgettable dining experience, this Afghan gem is a must-visit!

Absolutely delicious takeout! We got the lamb kabob (perfectly cooked, delicious chickpeas and rice, generous portion of lamb) and the vegetarian platter (the most tender silky veg) with a side of yogurt sauce. The included bread and sauces are absolutely amazing. The baklava was delicious and seems homemade. We can't wait to eat here again!

I have only been to this restaurant twice, and the food is VERY good and the ambience/decor is nice. However, this last time I went, I was disappointed. The server was VERY courteous, but I had to ask him more than once for my soda (and they didn't seem too busy for dine-in customers). Also, we didn't receive the sauces when our dinner was served. These things are not a big deal, but I was most dismayed by the guy sitting at the table who worked in the kitchen. He spent more time at the table than he did in the kitchen. I don't know if he was the cook or what, but he kept getting up to go back and forth from the table to the kitchen the entire time we were there. It also looked like his wife and 2 very small kids were at the table just hanging out waiting for him. I could be wrong. I was just a little embarrassed because I brought my friend here. I'm not sure if I will return to dine in, but maybe just do carryout instead.

Grew up on Afghan food and stopped by on my way from NC to NY. This was the best Afghan food and kabab I've ever had, period! Amazing owner and just amazing food. Can't wait to go back. Will make the drive just to have this food again.

We ordered take out from here and the food was amazing! Both the chicken breast and chicken thigh kabobs were so juicy and flavorful. The naan is probably some of the best naan I've ever tasted. The portions are also huge and you'll probably have leftovers too!

This place has new owners!! Since they took over, the food has been amazing. The chicken and lamb kabobs are so tender! You won’t go wrong. The restaurant is clean, the servers are nice. It definitely hits that kabob craving. In an area where there’s a kabob restaurant on every corner, this place really comes out on top. The quality is consistent, as well. And it’s kid approved! Don’t get scared away by the outside appearance, the inside is clean and decorated nicely. But most importantly the food is delicious. The bread is my favorite. It really is decadent. You can tell everything is made fresh as it takes some time to come out. You aren’t getting reheated or premade food.
