I order a super bandeja paisa, which takes about 40 minutes to be served at my table at two pm. is a Colombia restaurant the arepa could be bigger the one they put on my plate is about 1/4 of a regular arepa please improve this.

They didn't do a change in the menu, something very simple?♂️food took forever, and nobody said it was going to take so long. Food was ok but not worth the time we had to wait.

I stopped by here on a whim. Once inside, I wasn't sure what I had stumbled upon. Then I saw the display cases with delicately arranged treats and breads and I was immediately intrigued. The lady was so nice and patient. She explained what some of the breads were and what they were filled with and encouraged me to try. So I did! I got six different breads and meat turnovers. I was trying to save my most recent discovery, I ended up eating one on the way home, and ate another cheese bread before going to the gym, and another one as a post-dinner snack. Needless to say, the first three were amazing. I gues I'll eat the other three tomorrow! I know they will be good. The restaurant also serves meals and Colombian dishes. I plan to go back for coffee and dessert. Really impressed.

Food is fantastic, on a good day. Service is absolutely terrible. Unorganized, ad-hoc, careless, and inconsistent. Their website, after more than a year, still suggests you can order online; that's no longer the case - they can't even keep their website updated. This business grew very fast and the owners could not keep up. Instead of addressing the growth by hiring capable managers, they have a bunch of amateurs running all over the place. If you're an extremely patient person, and are able to remain zen through this complete circus, the food might be worth the wait. If you look at the reviews, the terrible service and lack of consistency are becoming a trend.Management: If you don't hire experienced managers, and at least a CM, the decline of your business will be unstoppable.

This is an excellent Colombian restaurant and bakery with many well-executed, authentic Colombian dishes. We had the cazuela de mariscos (seafood stew) which was delicious, and the mixed plate of fried meats, also very good. We also had authentic chicharrón with arepas, which was excellent and is very hard to find around here. The bakery counter had by far the best traditional Colombian items I've had in the DC area: pandebono, buñuelos, and coconut and passion fruit desserts. Prices are reasonable, the restaurant is nicely decorated and clean, and the staff friendly and attentive. I honestly have nothing negative to say. We will definitely be going back. Highly recommended.
My family and I come here very often but I had a bad experience. I had misplaced my wallet and my friend and I asked the employees they told me they did not see any wallet or no customer had turned it in. I even asked the manager if they could look at the cameras but she said she didn’t have access. So I called the police to report it. The police arrived right before the police was going to access the camera an employee said my wallet was turned in and gave it to the officer. I found this very unpleasant and suspicious of the employee integrity.

I’M NEVER COMING BACK TO THIS PLACE!! This place was good long time ago but I just came today and it was terrible the attention I don’t know if it was the owner or the manager but she is terrible is she is the manager is terrible, I wanted to get a bread with guava and they gave me the wrong one I asked her to switch it for the one I wanted, she said no I can’t even that I didn’t have the bread in my hand so if you think to go to that aroma cafe Colombian place don’t go there is better options than that I’m Colombian and the treatment t shouldn’t be like that IM NEVER COMING BACK TO THIS PLACE!!!! By the way the lady I’m talking about she is short she is the only one who doesn’t have uniform horrible attention!!The good thing I brought my family and they aren’t coming back to this place never!!!

Una estrella solo porque no me deja poner 0. Me salió un puño de plumas en un plato. Pedimos que lo hicieran otra ves y después de 10 minutos me dijeron que me descontaron el plato pero si quiero otro plato tendría que encargarlo y pagarlo otra ves. One star only because i cant put 0. Ordered a plate and got a bunch of feathers on it. Upon returning it they said they would fix it and send me another meal. Instead of that, after 10min the waitress came back with a receipt telling me i got the meal discounted and that if i wanted another i would have to go up, order, and pay again. I regret trying to be nice and not taking a picture of the feathers. Only proof i have is the discounted receipt after the fact. Horrible.
A very pretty restaurant space with numerous Colombian foods. I am a fan of the empanadas and guava bread, especially when they are fresh.
