Bob & Edith's Diner - Springfield

I got to this location at 3:30AM 3/7/2025 I had checked out a hotel 3 hours prior with no where to go until 11AM so I figured I get something to eat in the meantime since it’s 24 hours. I came in sat at my table I also had my luggage with me. I was told by the server at 5AM the cameras would cut on and he would get in trouble because of me there with my suitcase because they didn’t want homeless people hanging out mind you I’m a paying guest with nowhere to put my luggage I have no car no nothing. So I found that to be odd he said if the manager does come I can explain the situation but he was gonna tell them I just came from the airport if management text him. I got my food it was good and a raspberry tea I was also charging my phone cause when I arrived at the location my phone was on 6%. The server came back to my table about an hour later and told me his mean manager was in today and if I stayed any longer he would get fired . That is crazy for me a paying guest with no where to go for the next 8 hours because supposedly he didn’t want homeless people hanging around. They need a reality check because not everyone with a suitcase is homeless I could have had a long trip back home and wanted to get something to eat and relax but you’re denying me the freedom to stay longer at a 24 hour restaurant is absurd and by the way I stay in hotels so I can have shelter because I have been homeless for over 2 years to be told this hurts me. All I wanted was a nice meal and to stay out the freezing cold until I was able to get checked in my hotel room which I spent my last on to keep me from sleeping outside and also to get a meal at this location there was nowhere for me to put my luggage and I had no choice but to bring it with me shame on yall I wouldn’t recommend because of this matter alone really made me uncomfortable to be there especially cause I felt rushed to leave I probably won’t be back

Absolutely terrible food. While nothing we ordered in our party of 8 could be considered good, the meatloaf was completely inedible. Service was slow, it took a long time to get our food, and entrees were delivered at different times. We were charged for refills so two cokes, for example, were over $7. Our bill was over $160 for 8 people and we left hungry since the food was so bad.

Fresh fries which were tasty. Terrible service. The waitress never checked on me and left without telling me or asking another service to check on me.

Gross Gross Gross!

Fool me once shame on me, fool me twice shame on you,
Welp this is my third time ordering delivery and having partially missing/inedible food. The first time I guess they didn't have corn (I'm assuming) so THEY changed my side to mixed vegetables. The mixed vegetables are hard and flavorless. Then the gravy is super salty while the potatoes were bland. Like hospitals food bland. I should know as I just left the hospital 2 weeks ago.

The second time they did it AGAIN! Update your doordash storefront and stop be dishonest with customers. From the picture can anyone tell what I'm holding? Would you be surprised if I told you it was supposed to be a country fried steak. The disgusting thing was paper thin and so stiff. The gravy is so stuck to one side it's just like dairy queen ice cream!

Please avoid this place their obvious lack of care for preparing food people PAY FOR is dangerous. Someone's going to get sick one day. There's more but I'm hungry and now at 3:20am need to find food. ? I don't expect 5 star food but I do expect EDIBLE food. I tried to pull off the breading on oneside because it was clearly burnt and cold but ended up having to scrap it. Total waste of a dashers time and my money. I feel sorry for an establishment that has to rip off its customers just to keep the lights on.

Guess what it was $22 for this CRAP.

They are always busy, and the food is excellent!!
I gave them four stars because they gave too many toasts, and it looks like most people could not finish them. Sorry, but I hate to see food waste

Had order some food and it was completely messed up. My sandwich was not as I ordered it the home fries were cold. Called back the cook lie and said that they made it correctly took pictures of the food to prove my case.

Springfield location always disappoints on food. The service was good but the food is so bland. We have tried several times since it opened and never said wow, that was a good breakfast. Open 24 hours and sometimes great service is all they really have going for them.

Where’s the bottom bun of my burger? Super greasy and just very disappointing. It’s late at night so I really just want to eat something but I still expected to have the bottom bun with my burger. I probably won’t return!

Food was great, our server was awesome, cool old style themed restaurant, only thing was that it was a bit pricey, other than that it was perfect.
