I tried to support small business. My chocolate croissant was stale and almost 5 dollars....going to Starbucks next time.

I love Starbucks, but I prefer to support local businesses whenever I can. Having a lot of work to catch up on, I figured it’d be a nice change of scenery to hold up in a cafe all day to knock it all out. I’m cognizant that coffee shops are a place of business and not a hangout spot so the idea was to have breakfast and lunch there. I ordered a Mexican mocha and ham and cheese quiche when I arrived. I went to go sit down to get started on work and noticed signs on all the tables asking guests to limit their stay to an hour in duration. That was really off putting and did not give me that welcoming, neighborhood cafe feel that I thought I would get at a local business. Great drinks. Beautiful atmosphere. With that policy, I’d have to give them a poor customer service rating. I’d love to come back in with a more inviting environment, but will steer clear until then.

Drove up to try their Nitro brew. Solid pour and look but the coffee lacks any real flavor. I drink my coffee black and enjoy a strong cup of coffee. I understand the nitro lessens the bitterness but if this was a blind taste test I'm not sure I'd even guess it's coffee. Let the adventure for great nitro continue.

Overall pretty disappointed with my experience here. I have been looking for a great cafe that roasts their own beans and based on the reviews I was extremely excited to check Cervantes out. I didn't do my research beforehand so when I arrived I was a bit surprised with the lack of parking, but eventually found a spot. The employee working the register wasn't very helpful or kind and seemed like she wanted to be anywhere but there. After ordering a pour over, I received what tasted like very watered down coffee and was further disappointed. Another weird note was that none of the coffee beans had roast dates on them. I'm not docking points off for that since I could always just ask when they were roasted, but it just seemed strange to me as that would help the customer immensely if they are into brewing their own coffee. Overall, was fairly disappointed and will probably not be coming back.

I came today Thursday February 22nd at 2pm and after spending $120 buying coffee beans the lady in the front didn't bag them so I asked her for a bag and she looked at my like I was inconvenient and just handed me the bag. I DON'T care about doing it myself but it's the attitude for me. Also, why is there suggesting tipping for buying coffee beans at $17 a package? NO! I don't mind tipping the barista if I get coffee. Rude customer service. Basically "what do you want" type of attitude. Felt like I was inconveniencing them. Came here because I was excited to get better coffee than Starbucks. It was around the same quality. Might come back one more time to try a different drink. Hopefully the service will be friendlier next time.

One of my favorite coffee places in the entire dmv. I Love trying the continuous options of flavors Cervantes serves up. Great service too!

The espresso is pretty decent! I’ve been searching for a nice café in the vicinity and this might be my go to. The vibes and options were great. Price is a little steep, but a good trade off for the quality.Parking could be a nightmare. And if you can help it, definitely opt to have the drinks inside/for here. The to-go cups do NOT travel well. I had a 10min drive with a couple drinks and it went all over the place. The lids don’t have a good seal so you have to be careful picking up the cups, and the liquid seeps beyond the lid and drips so much. A mess in the car.

Two stars because I couldn’t find parking. Maybe the foods good but…Good luck getting a spot as there’s maybe 4 out front and no other spaces. Skip this place and go anywhere else.
