Interesting experience. Very nice Saag and Makka roti. Very bad bhature. They would expect 20 to 30% tip, but they would not clean the table after you leave and ask us to do it instead.

I always like the food at this place. But today I was very disappointed. I ordered the Masala Dosa. The owner was very prompt in calling me to let me know that they were running late but will get my order ready soon. I appreciated the courtesy so that I don't have to wait to pick up the food. I think I was their first customer of the day.
The dosa was so thick to be called a dosa, more of an Uttapam. The Masala filling was nothing to write about. No taste. The sambhar was completely off. It seemed like boiled chana daal with extra drumsticks making it taste bitter and salty. I think I will not be eating a dosa for a while.
Maybe next time I should wait to place my order till after 12:30pm so that my order is not prepared in a rush.

The café is quite small, and they use paper plates and cups instead of regular cutlery, which took away from the overall dining experience. The food was just okay, and we noticed a couple of flies, which was concerning from a cleanliness standpoint.

This place is true gem to eat authentic Indian food. We visited twice on our trip to DC and have always loved this place. We ordered Papdi Chat, Bhel Puri, Paav Bhaaji and Vada Paav. Everything was perfect and to the taste.

Visited as a second time customer to get Chat Papdi, but when I got it they were barely edible. The papdi was so hard to eat like a rock. I literally should it to the server and she acknowledge that another customer had the same concern. I asked for a fresh chat papdi and she went on saying that she cant give us another chat papdi and we would have to choose something else from the menu. After asking multiple times, to get another chat papdi, I asked her to refund us the amount which she did after consulting with the owner or manager I guess. Not a good experience at all. I came with lots of hopes and brought my family as well. P.S she even didnt refund me the full amount they still kept the taxes which was around 1.5$.

Very delicious food! Must try Thali! We ordered chole bhature too and it was worth a try. Enough parking place. Good service! We will definitely visit again and again!

This place has just incredibly authentic and flavorful dishes. In terms of the atmosphere in the restaurant, it is low-key but very clean. They concentrate on the food. We found it on Google Maps passing through from DC back home to North Carolina. I will definitely stop here again on our next visit to the area!

Ordered a large lunch order for pick up on a rainy Friday. There was one item that we ordered with chutneys on the side and after we realized it was made with the chutneys on it, they quickly fixed the order with no issue.

Food was delicious!! Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their food.

Definitely will be ordering from here again. Highly recommend!

Very bad food .. without taste…
They don’t know how to make even a simple dosa.
Paneer kathi role only had non clocked paneer with chat masala sprinkled… filling was not even cooked..
Don’t waste your money here
