Went for Iftar buffet, reached late the snacks were finished. I asked to get some snacks the employee said they are out The owner overheard the conversation and told the chef to make some and then served it to my table himself.After long day of fasting the food was just what I was looking for. Definitely will visit again.

This is the first time went there but really disappointed with almost everything.Quality of food not up to the mark.I ordered Beef Seekh but seems it was Chappli Kabab recipe no way it was Seekh Kabab.In desert ordered Gajar ka Halwa served cold don’t bother to keep 1 minute in Microwave.No one taking care waited almost 20 minutes to pay the bill. Zero customer service

Food and service at Dera is sporadic! Sometime it's so spice it can't be consumed. Eating there is not much of an option that's why we carry out. Had the food not been good we would not be driving total of 1 1/2 hours. It's most annoying when you return home to find out the entree packed was wrong on a day they had no diners. Calling the owner was hilarious. He said, I needs to investigate from the weekend crew, because there are two sides to this story This was weeks back! Hello! Can someone tell the owner the food packed was wrong it's as simple as that. Chicken is not beef & lamb is not chicken.

My wife got really sick after eating at this restaurant. She ordered Chicken Tikka and had food poisoning immediately. After reading past reviews, seems like this is not just a coincidence; some people got really sick after eating there. Somebody need to report it to the Alexandria’s Environmental Health Division and Virginia Health Department.

Dera Restaurant gets it done. The owner really goes the extra mile to make sure we're happy with our orders. The wait staff is attentive and quick—just ask them for anything, and they've got you covered.The a la carte options are consistently fresh, and if you're into kabobs, the Bihari kabob is a must-try. The naans and parathas are a special treat. For the full experience, I'd say go for a dine-in—nothing beats piping hot, fresh, halal Pakistani food.
