This is place is amazing and in certain days they have Iraqi Samoon and bread made fresh. They also have fresh food to order such as falafel, stews, rice and kabob made fresh in store.

We were traveling back home after visiting DC. Found this Iraqi bakery near our hotel. Bought fresh vanilla and pistachio cookies and flat bread ( khubuz) from here. Both were delicious. The lady behind the counter was very friendly.

Stopped in on a Sunday morning, there were a few plastic wrapped baked breads/pastries on their racks, I'll return another day for their fresh baked sammoun (Tuesdays or Thursdays around 12:30). While there's other reviews that said there's a mean lady here, that wasn't our experience at all.The lady that was working today was very friendly, informative, and very eager to happily share traditions and customs. We purchased some spices and sauces to fancy up our weekly baked chicken dinner, some Iraqi Chicken BBQ spices, a pouch of Persian sumac sauce, a frozen meat Fatayer 'pizzas'. We also brought home some packaged baklava, she said they typically consume with coffee. I wouldn't hesitate to tell anyone to come check this little place out, you don't know what treasures or foodie adventures you may walk out with.
