5/27/21 visited Tippy Tacos for the 1st time. The food was not the best. Got the .99 cent tacos. Blah. My sister order was messed up. They didnt want to fix it - the guy said, its nothing we can do. Yet, she spent 26.00. I will not be returning!!
Tippy’s Taco in Springfield is a staple to the community. The food is honest, basic and flavourful. Their tacos kits are perfect to take home for family or for a gathering of friends. The restaurants has seating with a chill atmosphere and friendly owner. Birch beer on tap. The guacamole is homemade and fresh. Always consistent.
This is definitely the worst Mexican food I have ever eaten in my life. If you have a microwave, chips, and cheese you can make their nachos. We ordered queso and got 2 small tostada shells instead of chips. Their Mexican pizza was soggy and flavorless. Avoid this place and go eat somewhere else where you will actually enjoy the food!
The staff was friendly just like the staff in the centreville location. It's taco ? comfort food. If your into healthy foods ? this may not be your kind of place. It's not a fancy restaurant either. Just a nice place to sit, relax and enjoy. I like to dip or pour the queso onto my tacos and I like to add the taco meat to my queso. All the locations I have been to are clean. Centreville, Fairfax and Springfield.
The orders were messed up. Unorganized with first come first serve. First impression is ruined. Will not come back.
Good food, good service, fair prices. Everything you want in a Mexican fast food restaurant.
Standard Sysco catered “Mexican” food. Edible and cheap enough that I don’t feel ripped off.The cheese dip was nice, but slightly over priced. I’m fairly certain it’s Velveeta.Staff was nice, and they were all wearing masks and frequently sanitizing their hands.
Tippy's is THE best taco joint in all of Springfield. Great food, the atmosphere is super chill. I would go their everyday to eat if I could. The ladies are so sweet and welcoming. Their Tippy's wrap is better than chipotle (in my opinion). Go here if you want some good, inexpensive tacos.
The only place I'll go in Springfield for tacos. Quick services, good variety and the prices can't be beat. Plus Birch Beer!
I can't get enough of the tacos and hot sauce!

great value!tasty food. cozy place
Wish this place had more flavor to it. Where’s the steak, the fresh herbs, the flavored chips. Everything feels like it’s from a taco pack. I got the Tuesday special to have paid more than I should for a burrito with just ground beef, not even cheese. I want to support them but after 3 tries I can’t
Its gone downhill over the years. So sad. I placed a to go order today. No one was at the counter so I peaked through the food window and noticed the cashier handling a block of cheese with no gloves. Then he noticed me and came out to take my order without washing hands. I figured I'd see how this plays out. I placed the order and he touched all kinds of things around the register. I noticed the cook prepare my food with no gloves. Then, the cashier went to the back to help out and continued to handle the block of cheese without washing or gloves after my transaction. I received the food from the cook, drove away and ended up throwing the food away. Disgusting!!! It's not the inexperienced highschool cashier or the cooks fault, it is the manager's and owners fault for neglecting to train their employees in food safety. Fix it!
Favorite local joint for tasty mexican food
