I love everything about this place, the food the environment the workers love love love love love love love,
Only thing that I wish is that they would add it back to Uber eats , I used to order it a lot and then the option was taken so I had to go in person it's just so far 2 drive

I ordered from uber eats and they sent sour (expired) peanut butter soup. Very disappointed and I will not be ordering again. Waste of money!
I waited nearly an hour for my food, but all I can say is that you cannot rush perfection. I ordered the D7. Jollof rice with chicken. The plantains with the meal were absolutely amazing. I'm definitely ordering ahead next time!

Wow! It hasn't been that long since I left the restaurant but I just had to leave a review. This was easily the best African food that I've ever bought! The amazing service was a plus! Would highly recommend, and I definitely plan on going back!

TERRIBLE SERVICE AND UNDER COOKED BLOODY CHICKEN - FOR THE PRICE!
I was excited about trying the cuisine, so I ordered online a few signature dishes. The cost was around 140 dollars for 4 dishes and some meat pies. The cost was not an issue until we opened the bags to partake in the food. The first thing we tried were the meat pies, that they seemed to just toss in a plastic bag (see photos attached). Terrible presentation, but the pies were tasty. The second dish we tried was the JERK CHICKEN - as soon as you cut into the meat - it squirted a mixture of blood and spices! (see photos attached). The third dish we tried was the (2) orders of OXTAILS - they were delicious, however for the price point to get 3 small pieces of oxtail was disappointing. Finally we tried the BANKU with Tilapia - very good, the fish was cooked thru and the spices and veggies were on point. The sides on all the dishes were nicely seasoned and delicious-plantains, coleslaw, rice and peas and joloff rice.
The other blaring issue is customer service and decent communication. I ordered this meal thru the online tool, who notified me when to pickup the food - 3:09 pm was the time, I was there at 3:10 pm. I did not get my order until 3:45 pm! I watched as two customers who clearly ordered after me receive their orders. Of course I inquired when I entered the establishment and the owner assured me just a few minutes- they cook the fish to order. No problem, I want my food freshly prepared. So 30 minutes in I approach again, mind you I have not left the establishment, and was told they had burned the fish and needed to prepare it again. Why not communicate to your customers that there was a problem- instead of having me sit there not knowing what the heck is going on!?!?
Now you must be asking yourself - after about an hour and a half from order to pickup- why was the JERK CHICKEN a bloody mess? Especially since you had more time to prepare everything!!
TERRIBLE Service! Food under cooked and price points don’t match food quantity or quality! (clearly, I am not the first customer with this issue).
Please DO BETTER - it is nice to see after 15 years of residency in this area this genre of culture and cuisine, but the way you’re going will cause you to be closed down.

I had the boiled plantains with egusi spinach stew and smoked turkey. It was absolutely delicious. Service was great and the atmosphere was very relaxed. If we find ourselves in Stafford again we will most definitely be eating here again.
This place has been my go to since moving here. The owner is a sweet lady with great service who will remember you after you’ve been in a few times. The food is delicious and great portions for the price. Definitely try the fufu with light soup!!

I haven’t had Jollof rice in a while and was delighted to discover this place on Uber Eats. I was pleased despite the long wait that my food was warm when it arrived. I noticed a strong burning odor as I unpacked the bag. I was pleased with the portion size. However, the rice smelled and tasted burned. It was also dry and crunchy/hard mixed in with softer rice. Though, I didn’t see any any burned portions of rice. I’m thinking that the pot of rice had burned and I was served from the unburnt portion. I couldn’t enjoy or finish the rice because of the burned taste. The chicken was ok and i liked the spicey sauce on the egg. The salad probably should have been packed separately, because the mayo dressing was warm. I will probably give this place another chance as there isn’t any other African restaurants in the area. Except for my African friends. However, I will probably go there instead of having it delivered.

This was my second try of egusi soup and it was very good ! They served it with fufu and I previously had it with pounded yam. It was just a little different- not much . I think the fufu was stickier . It did stick to my fingers more. I got the soup with smoked turkey and it was seasoned to the bone ! My only complaint is that it wasn’t quite as spicy as I like it but it did have some heat . For those who can’t take a lot of heat this one’s for you . I loved this little spot . I’ll definitely go back when I’m in town again!
