Oxtails with Rice and Peas, Plantains, and Cole Slaw omggg the best I have ever had I never had African food before the flavor is amazing. The food was served hot and fresh. I only wish they could put more oxtail on the plate as it seemed more rice and peas than meat other than that it’s a good price and and convenient and the people are very nice.

I think they just opened so I hope everyone gives them a try. Loved my goat soup with foufou. Rich flavor with just the right amount of spice. Super friendly service.

The food is homemade. The oxtail and cabbage stew are phenomenal. The peanut soup is good as well. I tried the double coconut rice shrimp and that was delicious. I’m looking forward to trying other dishes. I learned….. You must call ahead and order your food. 15-25min ahead.

I should have known when I entered the empty restaurant to turn around. I wanted Jollof rice and chicken so I decided to try the only African restaurant I could locate in Stafford. What I got was chicken that tasted like it was fried in fish grease and dry, flavorless rice ? Needless to say, I will not return.

I won't be ordering from here again. They frequently ignore your order preferences, and if you attempt to rectify a mistake, they insist you pick it up on their schedule, even when the error is theirs. Their menu is limited, with many items unavailable or out of stock, and their service is rude.

Ok. Not great. Plus the price just doesn't fit well with the quality of food you get. So far everything we tried has just been ok, some barely.

I stopped by here while passing thru on the drive home because I was having a serious craving for egusi and fufu. This place popped up on yelp with amazing reviews, so I gave it a go. It's located in a sketchy looking shopping center, but some of the best food places are holes in the wall. The inside was fairly clean, although the place was empty. I couldn't decide between the jerk chicken or egusi (which is not even on the menu to my recollection). Since the gentleman working was not of any assistance in deciding, I went with my craving, the egusi. After another 1.5hr drive, I was finally able to open the meal. First, it was packaged very well to prevent leaking of the egusi! Upon first sight, my joy turned into pain because I realized there was meat all thru the egusi. Since it was not on the menu and I was moving fast, I forgot to inquire if it was vegetarian egusi or traditional. I tried calling the establishment several times and no answer of the phone. This is poor customer service and I had to take points for that. Had I been able to get clarification on the exact meat used, I may have been able to salvage it or at least let a friend have it, but since they didn't bother to answer the call, in the trash $17 went. The fufu was a little runny at first, but meh, I didn't get to eat it anyway. The spot I normally go to only has the vegetarian egusi and since I am not a regular, I honestly didn't think to inquire about meat inside of the egusi-Lesson learned. Another downside is that they don't have side options. You either order a complete meal ($15+) or nothing, which is a bad business model imo because people want to try dishes before committing fully. Next time, I should listen to the yelp reviews!

First time trying African food and it was great! We have an international student from Ghana staying with us and he was smiling when the Jollof rice came out. The owner is from Ghana and hit it off with our student.
