I would like to preface this review by saying that this is my first ever Google review. I feel very strongly about El Molcajete Motya 2 and its owners, Ivonne and Hector. They are both lovely and hard-working individuals.I have visited on multiple occasions, either with my family or a group of friends, to grab a quick bite or celebrate birthdays. Never once since they've opened have I had a bad experience. Their food quality and service are impeccable, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for an authentic Mexican restaurant in the area.

I am literally sitting at the table as I type this review out — the food and the service were incredible. We chatted with the owner for a bit and learned a bit about the restaurant’s history. It’s an awesome little place worth checking out!

I had planned to take pics but we ate our food so fast that we didn't get a chance. I had the chickeb chimichanga, my wife had chicken quesadillas, my mom had carne asada tacos and mole. EVERYTHING was soooo good. There wasn't a crazy line. I have no idea why. They are amazing. I will try to get pics next time. Also, the owner is a super nice man and was telling me the history of the restaurant, y'all go check them out. The food will not disappoint.

I was driving with my sister from Frederick MD, on our way to NC and we got a lil hungry. I’m glad we stopped by Hector’s restaurant. What a gentleman. Thank you for your outstanding service, very delightful atmosphere and delicious food. We left full and happy. We’re looking forward to stopping by and seeing you again soon! God bless, thanks again. - Josue & Ruthy

I ordered a huarache and in comparison to one I got from a food truck—The one from here is severely lower grade. Would not recommend the huarache.

We've eaten here three times before I made this review, and we have enjoyed the food every time. We are from Arizona, and we miss good Mexican food that isn't made at home. Eating here makes us feel a little more at home. We also have a toddler and every time we are here with him, he is doted on by the ladies that work here. The prices are reasonable, especially for as much food as you get.

I had an excellent meal here on a quick trip to Quantico. My server, Hector, was pleasant, professional and attentive. I ordered the chicken fajitas and they were delicious. Lots of seasoned chicken, crisp veggies and sides of rice, salsa, guacamole and refried beans. I would not hesitate to recommend a stop here.

Hector (the owner) was kind, personable, and has a great taste in tequila. Coming here was a second nature decision based on my hotel accommodations, but I’m glad I did. I had the best chimichanga I’ve ever had, and an unforgettable experience. Ask for his favorite tequila and enjoy the authenticity of a true Mexican style meal.

Honestly, the food is terrible. They alone charged the tip. I never come back here. I don't recommend it.

Delicious tacos. You can't beat $1.99 tacos on Tuesday. I had asada and al pastor. Wasn't too busy around lunchtime and the servers were friendly!

Conveniently located just down the hill from a decent brewery, I almost don’t want to share this review because I don’t want the fake trolls, who only used us because we are rare true locals, to find these legit hotspots and enjoy this hidden gem and their delicious food. But, because we want this place to do well and have all the success it deserves, I will make the sacrifice. LOLThe staff is always friendly and treats us like old friends. Better than El Paso and cheaper than Uncle Julio’s, they make the guacamole fresh at your table with proper spice levels of your choosing. Los mejores tacos del mundo!
