We fell in love with PPW the minute we toured it! The Italian vibes were perfect for our August wedding. Taylor, Francesca, and the rest of the PPW team made sure we had a perfect day! Food was 10/10, and our guests still talk about the grape stomping to this day. I would recommend this venue to anyone looking for a gorgeous winery wedding!
Nice place. Beautiful location. Good wine. The owners want you to "enjoy the experience and taste the wine and the food". They sell cigars as well. Problem is, at least while I was there, there is no place to smoke a cigar when you purchase one. Receptionist stated there were areondack chairs outside, but they were taken by customers already. Apparently there is usually another area to smoke but that area is closed. Also, you apparently can't pay for food AND wine AND a cigar and take it outside to smoke a cigar you purchase at the winery. You can only buy food and eat inside, taking your food with your wine and cigar outside to one of the tables on a nice day is apparently against the rules. You can buy wine and a cigar, then walk down the hill to sit at a plastic picnic table. Great experience lol. Maybe don't sell cigars if you literally don't want the customer to enjoy that experience or provide a place to smoke them (and that's fine if you don't offer certain items as a business). Perfectly fine with establishments that don't allow smoking, my issue is not being able to have the option to drink the wine I bought, smoke the cigar I purchased, and also have the ability order/eat food while drinking or eating.
Dueling Pianos was fantastic, interactive fun!! 10 Stars!
I had the most incredible experience at Potomac point winery. This place will forever hold a special place in my heart because it’s where I proposed to my fiancée. From the moment we arrived, the staff was warm, welcoming, and genuinely happy for us because I made a reservation and told them what I was going to do. They went above and beyond to make our special moment even more memorable, even surprising us with champagne to celebrate. Their kindness and hospitality made an already perfect day even better. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a beautiful and welcoming atmosphere. Thank you for making our proposal unforgettable!!
Brad is a great guy and gave awesome service! We come to Potomac Point often but we’ll always come back.
Great spot, great wine!
Went to celebrate my and my moms birthday, absolutely loved it! The service was fantastic, the food and wine were amazing, cannot wait to come back. We reserved a tent and it was just such a cool atmosphere, will definitely be back and be promoting this experience to others!
Winery located in Stafford with plenty of parking. Not too far from Quantico. We came here on a Saturday afternoon around 4pm and they were able to accommodate us for a wine tasting. We didn't have reservations and it was $20 per person for 8 wines. We stood for about 1.5 hours
The wines were not bad, but not the best I've tried.
The staff was nice, didn't rush us, and were busy but attentive.
They allow food outside; however, not inside as they have their own bistro and food offerings.
Atmosphere was good, but no the most aesthetically pleasing compared to other wineries in Virginia.
They bathroom could be tidied up a bit.
They do allow dogs.
I’ve been here twice now with friends and have not been disappointed! The ambience is definitely relaxing, and the service was great. My favorite was the seasonal sangria was my FAVORITE- I’m still mourning it being gone! Will be back next fall just for that drink.
Perfect Setting for a Dream Wedding
We had our wedding at Potomac Point Winery, and it was everything we could have dreamed of and more. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the picturesque vineyard and the stunning views. Our venue coordinator, Taylor, was very detail oriented in our initial tour while deciding and gave lots of suggestions so we could picture what our day would look like. The PPW team made it so easy to make a decision and process a contract for our date. Taylor was wonderful in email communications and a very organized individual. She went with every change we made along the way, writing down and remembering each item we discussed however small or large. She was with us ever step of the way, from tour, to wine and food tasting, to final walkthrough, rehearsal, and finally she was with us on our big day making sure everything went as we had discussed.
The staff was incredibly professional, warm, and welcoming, ensuring every part of the day ran smoothly. They went above and beyond to help with all our needs, making the entire experience seamless and stress-free. Throughout the planning process, they were knowledgeable with what other couples have done and gave great suggestions to make wedding planning as seamless as possible (e.g. floor layouts, event timeline, popular food/wine options, etc.). Additionally, their preferred vendor list made choosing other vendors so easy to work with. We did research other vendors, but in most cases we went with the preferred option and do not regret it!
We loved that we were able to have access from the pergola to the ballroom (Vines to Vows) that day, having so many places to work with given options for inclement weather and if we want to change it up to match our vision. They had the best rainy day plan for us, and thankfully the weather cooperated so we did not need to use that!
The food was delicious, and the wine—of course—was perfect. It’s clear that Potomac Point Winery knows how to make your day truly special.
Their blog was such a useful tool in planning. Their posts on social media and their blogs about various weddings were very helpful to create a vision, determine what we wanted, and share insporation with vendors.
Overall, this venue made our wedding day unforgettable. We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect setting or a more attentive team. If you’re looking for a venue that offers natural beauty, elegance, and exceptional service, Potomac Point Winery is a top choice.
We visited this place 10 years ago and had a great time. Didn't go back until July 2024 (it's out of the way for us) and had such a great time again that we joined the wine club. It quickly went down hill from there. We made several visits between then and now, and each was horrible for a different reason.
We showed up to pick up the fall wine club drop to find out that they had no power. We drove over an hour to get there, and not one of the people in charge there though to send out an email blast saying they don't have power and no ETA for when it will be turned on. So, they're cash only, or they will WRITE DOWN YOUR CREDIT CARD NUMBER ON A PIECE OF PAPER to charge later. This is so un-secure I can't believe they tried it. I get that's how it used to be, and that is how a lot of information was compromised. I think they didn't send an email on purpose because they wanted people to still show up, they didn't want the whole day to be a wash.
Another time we came for lunch, with a reservation, but were given the worst table in the room that also came with the worst service and the worst food. I feel like once you're a WC member they don't feel like they have to impress you anymore and you get the worst of everything.
The final straw was our last pick up...none of the wines were good but one of them was an especially bad Moscato (!!!) which we were charged $35 for.
I don't think this review will change the Winery at all but I hope it stops people from going there. It's truly not worth the drive or the experience.

We rented a tent for 2 1/2 hours and it was a good time. Had one issue, there were 10 of us and we ordered a bunch of food and many many bottles. We have 2 friends that don’t drink and had coffee. The waiter comes back and ask what else can I get you, my friend asks for more coffee. Our waiter says that coffee is not free refills, just to let you know. HOW is coffee not free refills when we spent over $600 on other food and drink??? To the OWNER Skip, please fix this!! Also our waiter was a little rude with us changing the flaps in the tent without asking him first. Your food and wine is great! Really, burgers were the best around!!
My husband and I celebrated our wedding here in October, and we couldn’t be happier with our experience from start to finish. From the initial tour to every step of the planning process, the staff at Potomac Point went above and beyond to make everything seamless. Our coordinator, Taylor, was fantastic and truly listened to all our needs. I highly recommend choosing this venue for your special day!
I fully believe my review will not matter, but I hope to inform those who read these. Terrible experience. I was hoping after reading so many great reviews, I would treat my wife to our 12 year anniversary. I annotated that in the reservation (which did not matter, they didn’t read). We show up, were sat down, and waited about 8 minutes before being greeted by our server. The decor was unimpressive and unclean. There are no drink options other than well water, wine, cocktails, or mock tails, great. We opted for water. Water came back with things floating in them. One smelled like boiled eggs and the other smelled fine. When we brought this up to the server, we were told it was well water and that we would have to drink the water from the coffee machine. ??? Ok… we ordered our food 20 minutes later. We were ready to order within 5. The menu is not extensive. Another 20-30 minutes go by and our food arrives. We were not checked on by our server the entire time. Our food was not good. Not seasoned, noodles were over cooked and cut anywhere from an inch in length to 5 inches… I don’t know who ever taught this in any culinary school, but I’m sure it isn’t unless the person you’re serving is a toddler. Regardless, after eating what we could, we waited for our server for an extensive period. We watched him go from table to table and we we ignored for some time. Upon his return we asked for a refill on one of the waters to which we were told he’d have to get the water from the coffee machine or we wouldn’t be happy. I didn’t acknowledge the comment, and said thank you. When he returned with the water we requested a desert menu. We waited another 9 minutes for it. After finishing our dessert, which we never order, we asked for our check. I made sure to tip well although the food and service was terrible. Never going back.
We reserved a winter wine tent for 2 people. The tent is well furnished and very warm. The food was delicious. We shared a flight of wine, a charcuterie board. My wife had the pasta carbonara while I had the flat bread pizza. All the food was excellent, and the service was superb. They will check in every 15 minutes or so. Pack your patients, good food can't be rushed so enjoy the beautiful view and company. Also, the winter wine tents must be reserved ahead of time.
Came here for a wine tasting and I must say one of the bartenders was the highlight. After being seated for a table we were ignored and disregarded. My wife and I were not served utensils nor napkins. The multitude of guests around were served and finished before anyone approached us. I am appalled by the treatment and service at this establishment. Would not recommend to anyone.
