Food was very good. Service was excellent. I ordered spicy salmon rolls and spicy tuna rolls. Co worker ordered Megan rolls beautiful presentation. Would definitely go back.

My wife and I went there with no idea the time they close. We were eating our food, and the waiter came to us wanting us to pay so he can close out the register and wanted us to leave before we even finished eating. The service sucked, the food sucked and we will never ever go back to this place ever again.

No hate on the food. It was very filling , and just enough to have a burp moment. The waiter made sure that I wasn't thirsty, he made sure that my cup is full. The place has a good warm vibe to it , best for lunch or a good dinner . The only problem I have is the lady worker in front of me. She is peeling cucumber with her bare hands. Then she goes to another station, put her hands on her pants to wipe it, touch an ipad , then go back to her peeling. No washing of the hands or anything. What's worst is, we saw her eat a piece of food as she peels her cucumber. Please retrain her .

Beware, if you ask for a modification to a roll, such as remove an item, then they will substitute it with something without asking you. They do not take any preference or allergy into consideration. Then if you complain they just say you didn't say not to put it in there (even though it wasn't supposed to be in there to begin with.) They will not credit your card but only offer you a store credit, which will force you to return or abandon the money. This is not the first time something like this has happened at this location. I've never ordered from this location without some kind of problem. If you want Umi, go to Fredericksburg.

I was there for lunch, every time someone opened the door and went into the restrooms the smell came into the restaurant where we were sitting. It was terrible.

Sashimi and Sushi are average. Bento box was old food. Bottom pan, burnt brown rice. Teriyaki was watered down with no taste. Green tea ice cream was freezer burned with ice crystals and no flavor. Second go round here…1st time was average at best, second time was a one star experience. No 3rd time for me.

I was looking for a restaurant I went years ago and I was not able to find it however we found this one and we were not disappointed. Sushi was fresh. Flavor was on point and service was OK. The service was a bit slow at some points but it’s because the server was busy around the restaurant cleaning and attending other tables. Overall it was a good experience. I would come back to this place.

Best teriyaki in Stafford. The bento meals are a fantastic deal, especially everything you get for the dinner version, and it's delicious even taken to-go. The rolls are amazing and when dining in the service is great. We love trying the sake and come here a couple times a month at least.

The wife and I go here 1-4x a month. And sometimes when I'm in Freddy I'll go to the Umi there for lunch.Consistent, service is almost always perfect and friendly (ask for Kylie if she's on, super nice).The lunch and dinner bento boxes are my #1 recommendation. We always take home boxes after ordering them.Out of all the sushi places around us (Kobe, Umi, Sake), we decided this is the fairest price for its food. Sobe is the worst tasting, but usually the cheapest, and Kobe is the most expensive with the sushi being hit or miss (but the hibachi is always great there).Umi is a solid choice and recommended if you can't decide on which sushi place to go to.
