My post is to make a point about the cat urine smell. From what I recall being in stanardsville a couple of years ago is this inn is surrounded by old boxwoods. Boxwoods smell overwhelmingly like cat piss..I actually have a clone of 1 of George washingtons boxwoods in my yard. Cats that live outside their urine smell will dissipate rather quickly. learn your horticulture if you are complaining about the smell
Lafayette Inn and Restaurant provided everything we were looking for in a mother/daughter trip: history, clean and comfortable room, DELICIOUS food, stories, privacy, scenery, and CATS. It may also be haunted!
Wonderful vacation at The Lafayette Inn! Beautiful accomodations, really soft sheets, and very comfortable bed! The hosts are the most! Alan and Kaye were welcoming and accomodating! They flex to feed you the included tasty breakfast (usually 3 choices), or will pack one to go if you're heading out early. It's definitely worth making reservations for their dinner- must have gained a few pounds there because I had to keep trying each tasty dish! Will definitely be returning...
