Surprisingly tasty and reasonably priced food for a remote restaurant in the middle of a National Park. Cell phone signals won't reach here but culinary dedication surely did
Very nice staff and unironically one of the best smash burgers I have had. Definitely the best prices in the park as well for those on a budget.
They have almost anything you may need while camping. However, if you’re missing something big like a sleeping bag or sleeping pad, I suggest going to Walmart in Lurray. It’s worth it to drive out there and spend about $50 less. Their camping gear is way overpriced. If you need smaller things like a knife, cook ware, cups, bug spray, etc. you can get it from here.
Such a welcome treat after a waterfall trail hike on a hot day. Enjoyed my meal a lot but highlight was the peach ice cream and blueberry cobbler. Good gift and supply store too.
A regular after hike stop for Blackberry ice cream! The best!! Other food and drink items are available to purchase. There is a giftshop as well with everything, including shirts, hats, souvenirs, drink containers, stuffed animals, and various snacks.
Wow! What a great stop along Skyline! The gas was a reasonable price, there were lots of snacks and souvenirs to choose from, not to mention the great grill with tasty food! We had smash burgers and they were spot on! The blackberry ice cream was a treat.
Rotten lettuce does not go on a wrap. Rotten lettuce goes in the trash. Employee here look at rotten lettuce, then decided yeah let’s feed this ROTTEN lettuce to a customer l. Rotten Lettuce ROTTEN LETTUCE ROTTEN FREAKING LETTUCE!
Perfect view from the patio! The ham grilled cheese was awesome but if you have high blood pressure dont get it. Its the saltiest sandwich ive ever had. Funny story, while hiking a overheard somebody talking about this salty ham? she ate the same sandwich. The cobb salad had lots of ingredients and was super good. The raspberry dressing was good too. Mac and cheese was bland but the kid said it was ok. Kids chicken strips were very good. Our server was ok, im guessing she was new. Could have been more friendly like all of the guests we encountered.
Nice gift shop and camping supplies. Dining area could use some cleaning. There was food droppings all over the floor and the tables are not wiped between patrons. But, the Smash burgers were great!
Driving Skyline Drive s a long haul. This is a perfect stopping point. Gas station doesn’t have crazy marked up prices, large clean bathrooms, visitors center had a short video to watch in the air conditioning, and some great trails all stem from this area. They also have a fantastic breakfast and lunch spot to stop in for food. I was SHOCKED at the quality of food here. It was genuinely delicious and so fresh. Definitely a great stop to refuel both your car and yourself.

This used to be such a warm, down-to-earth, restaurant. You could order eggs, toast, pancakes, etc. for breakfast. Now you can't "order" anything. It's all boiled down to a short few items that you cannot change/modify. Very cold and impersonal experience now. It's a shame.

The grill was okay. Nothing to rave about. Got a vegan burger that was suppose to come with house chips. The chips got lost somewhere. Just a lonely burger. All the tables were dirty at 3pm.I don't know why they sell such large cardinals. Lol They are the Ohio state bird.
The best thing I can say about this place is that the food is edible. However it is low quality, tasteless and left me feeling a bit sick afterwards. It's also overpriced as you might expect for the only dining option for miles. However we were further ripped off: The person working at the counter overcharged us and when this was pointed out to her she replied "ok" instead of correcting her error and then only filled out dishes 3/4 perhaps out of spite or apathy. Avoid if possible.
Simply hot dog I thought would be playing it safe. The bun was cold, like it just came out of a refrigerator ? Hot dog itself not that warm? The House potato chips are wayyyyyyyyyy over fried, no taste, just terrible! Kids toasted cheese sandwich was eatable, but nothing great:( Bread wayyyyy to think for the little cheese a give you? Milk came with the kids meals, not in a carton, but poured in a cup? And not all the cold:( They add their own tip, which came out to be 28% for doing little:( Keep driving!
