Love this place! Ordered for takeout: tomato soup, pomegranate salad, trout tea sandwiches. They were all A+. Seriously. I will definitely swing by again. It made the best lunch! This should be a weekly stop for me! Parking was easy.

Absolutely terrific in all aspects—food, atmosphere, service. I’d give them 6 stars if it were allowed. It is like stumbling upon a tiny European gem tucked into an ordinary neighborhood street in Staunton. Four tables, and a small seating area at the bar, handsomely lit and welcoming I had the creamy tomato basil soup and Persephone salad. The soup was perfectly seasoned, and the salad was a lovely, crisp, bright finish. Asked my dining companion if he would be embarrassed if I licked clean the bowl and plate but refrained. Sorely tempted by the spiced pumpkin parfait but was already sated. A brief conversation with the friendly owner revealed they are generally staffed by her and one other, but called in a friend for reinforcement on this evening as the tables and bar area were full. Just a delightful atmosphere and completely satisfying experience on all levels. Very highly recommend.

One of the easiest five star reviews I've ever written. This little place is charming and the owner has attended to every little detail with the eye of a true artist. It was a lovely experience from top to tail and I just could not recommend it higher. Stop your search and come to Bijou and then frequent it regularly, you will be rewarded for your good decision!

I’m in love with Bijou Staunton! The food is delicious and clearly a labor of love. The recipes are unique and amazing. I loved the white chicken chili and the “Rosemary’s Baby” vanilla ice cream dessert. Wow!
The atmosphere is cozy and chic, and Christina is just wonderful. Highly recommend! Excited to go back again soon.

My fiancé and I had the pleasure of visiting an old high school classmate of mine today, at her gorgeous restaurant and we cannot say enough about it!
The food is delicious, the restaurant is beautiful, and the owner/hostess is one of the kindest humans anyone could ever have the pleasure of knowing.
Tina, keep being amazing! We cannot wait to come back in October with our VMI rat!

I am very fortunate to know Christina the owner! The inception and vision for making her amazing soups started years ago… I loved following along over those years as she “curated” creating this lovely bistro… Today I experienced it in person . The attention to detail, quality of food, service and overall ambiance is a real testament to her talent! Cheers Christina ?. It’s just wonderful !!

If you’re in the mood for an upscale luncheon, a classy glass of wine, or a superb dessert, Bijou has you covered! My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our Saturday afternoon soup and salad in mid-July. Extra points to our server Kate for the champagne glass salad presentation. If we hadn’t been traveling, we would have taken a to go quart of the white chicken chili for sure. Super scrumptious!

What a delightful find!. Bijou immediately gives you the feeling you've stepped into a small French cafe. You could almost believe you were hearing French spoken in the background. The atmosphere exudes a casual, lighthearted ambiance and with simple, expertly prepared dishes to accompany this feeling you will be pleasantly satisfied and desirous of returning. With a small but varied menu of creative soups, unique flavorful salads and deserts, accompanied with wine, soft drinks, tea and coffee. You will leave well fed, but never over-stuffed. Tres magnifique! Many of the choices are gluten-free, and vegan options exist as well.Service is attentive and immediate, yet low-key so you never feel rushed. This restaurant is a real gem and worth your time to visit.
Dietary restrictions: Many options for gluten-free diets.
Parking: There are usually many street spaces available.
