Excellent soups, salads, desserts and stuff to drink. New soups pop-up regularly. Fantastic on a chili or rainy day. Nice Victorian atmosphere

What a delightful find!. Bijou immediately gives you the feeling you've stepped into a small French cafe. You could almost believe you were hearing French spoken in the background. The atmosphere exudes a casual, lighthearted ambiance and with simple, expertly prepared dishes to accompany this feeling you will be pleasantly satisfied and desirous of returning. With a small but varied menu of creative soups, unique flavorful salads and deserts, accompanied with wine, soft drinks, tea and coffee. You will leave well fed, but never over-stuffed. Tres magnifique! Many of the choices are gluten-free, and vegan options exist as well.Service is attentive and immediate, yet low-key so you never feel rushed. This restaurant is a real gem and worth your time to visit.Dietary restrictions: Many options for gluten-free diets.Parking: There are usually many street spaces available.

If you need a little taste of France, pop into this petite oasis of pleasure. I am picky and prefer not to eat out because of the compromised quality and ingredients I typically find. This place brought me back to living in France and transported me out of our sleepy small town without all the hassle and expense of air travel. This review is bittersweet because I’d rather it stay my little secret but alas I’m in love and need to share it with the world.

So delighted to have tried this today. We have had the pleasure of knowing the owner Christina for a few years now, and she is such a genuine person. My lunch today was a bowl of the kale, bean and sausage soup with a Caesar salad; the soup was amazing and served hot and fresh! Both items were really tasty. It’s a wonderful spot to go and relax and just enjoy the moment. My server Rosemary was also so kind and knowledgeable, couldn’t have asked for more!

I LOVE everything about this charming bistro in our neighborhood! We walked there for lunch today, and the ambiance, food and service were just perfect! The Creamy Tomato Basil soup as well as the White Bean, Kale and Sausage soup were delicious! The Orange and Feta Salad with Champagne vinaigrette were such a wonderful flavor combination and so well presented.Loved the decor and the obvious attention to detail throughout. Clearly a labor of love which shows! We didn’t have time for dessert, but will be back for the Vanilla ice cream drizzled with Bourbon balsamic and olive oil and sprinkled with sea salt!

We're delighted that the soups we tried at the farmers' market are now available in this charming setting on Beverly Street. Now sandwiches and other options are on offer. And an excellent dry cider!

Let me add my praise to this wonderful small restaurant. I only had a delicious bowl of soup, but I admired the salads and desserts on neighboring tables as well as the couple savoring a bottle of wine. The service was great--I placed my order and in a minute or two had a bowl of soup in front of me. It's a cozy, friendly place, and I will go back.

I've been a fan of Bijou soups since the Staunton Farmers Market and am so glad to see this charming cafe now open! The flavors are so creative and I've loved everything I've tried. The gluten and dairy free options are a plus for my daughter as well.

I visited yesterday and love this cozy little place tucked inconspicuously away in a very pretty period building on W. Beverley. St. My sausage, kale, and white bean soup was excellent. If you're looking for a healthy lunch with excellent variety (without the menu being overwhelming) then this is your place! Get there early as the soups are made on location in small batches and they do sell out.
