We just enjoyed lunch here ! Wow! Fish and chips were delicious! Blackberry cobbler awesome! Our server Addey was fabulous! So glad we stopped in!! Great place to dine!
One of my favorite Staunton restaurants! I've been going here for years and highly recommend. Our most recent visit was 11/8/25. I love their chicken tenders, crab bisque, and honey mustard dressing. My daughter loves their hot crab dip. The restaurant is big so even if there isn't parking, there may still be space in the restaurant and you can park and walk a little further.
Visit the bar to have a drink if nothing else. But the food is excellent as well. If you're catching the train, the restaurant is right next to the tracks. There is lots of parking in the public lot adjacent to it.
Our server, Rudolph, was excellent - very attentive, polite, & checked on us frequently. The food was wonderful - fresh, hot and very tasty. We loved the atmosphere of the old train depot building. We will definitely be back.
We both ordered the French dip, and wine for my wife and a porter for me. Food came first, then the drinks. Got the wrong beer. Eventually replaced. Food was awful - we had had the French dip before, so we know how good it should and could be. Tough. Overdone. Bread was soggy on bottom. It was like the meat had been under the warmer for four or five hours after being overcooked. Or microwaved. Then I was charged for the drink I sent back! Drinks were straightened out, and food comped. We appreciate that. But beware the French dip!
Disgusting!!!! Was closed for years and It should have stayed closed. Smothered chicken was inedible. The mozzarella cheese was not melted. I sent it back and it came out the same, like a piece of white rubber on top of bacon so hard you couldn't cut or chew it. The chicken was dry, tasteless, overcooked and so hard you couldn't cut it, even with a steak knife! The green beans were NOT country, they were French cut, luke warm and tasted nasty, nothing like country style beans. I had them take my meal off the check and ate a bowl of cheerios for dinner when I got home. The prices are high and the food is awful, none of my party of 4 enjoyed anything they ordered. The poor waitress was overwhelmed with a party of 8 but did the best she could. Can't see it staying in business too much longer.
Online reviews , as well as local recommendations raved about this restaurant. Although hopeful, our experience did not match the hype. We found the food mediocre at best. We had several things, and sad to say the flavor of each had much to be desired. One example is the red sauce entre I ordered, the sauce was burned. If you are familiar with that taste, its almost uneatable. my wife and I plowed through our meals, left a good tip because the service was good, but will not return,
We stopped for the night on our travels. This place was recommended by our hotel staff. Nice old depot refurbished into a cool restaurant. Loved the Toosday salad with mesquite chicken. The Cobb salad was loaded. Very reasonably priced.
Our first time visiting the depot grille. We loved it. Food was spot on and my wife could not even eat all her meal. We arrived soon as it opened and the staff was smiling and greeted soon as we arrived. We got seated right away we loved the decor. It reminds us of our area in pa of Jim Thorpe. Our service was amazing from our bubbly personality and knowledge was awesome to share things to do. Anna M thank you for all you did and taking the time to talk to us. With server like you and the rest of the amazing staff thank you. To managers please share this with Anna M she was amazing.
I normally try to avoid going to a restaurant unless it’s more than an hour from closing but we were traveling and found this one really neat place 30 minutes before closing. The service was wonderful and the food was so fresh and delicious. The bar also made a great Grasshopper drink, so we ordered a few more before the last call. This place will be on our list for a return visit next time in town.

We stopped for in dinner on our way to NC from CT. Casual but neat and clean atmosphere. Very friendly and personable staff. Super great service (Anna) and super great food and drinks! Get the Kentucky Pecan Pie for dessert and you will have very pleasant surprise! If you’re in the area, this place is highly recommended!
We weren't sure what to expect when were headed to it, but the online reviews said it was good, so we gave it a shot. Boy, were they right! It was so pretty inside! Excellent service and excellent food. We each really enjoyed what we had (I got the salmon sandwich and have been craving it ever since!); my husband got the crab cakes (large portion and he was stuffed); my 11 y/o daughter loved her grilled cheese. The setting of the building that housed the restaurant is neat, too. Loved the cobblestone parking lot!
We had a late lunch here yesterday. I had the Salmon, broccoli and a salad. My husband had the Phili cheesesteak with broccoli. Both meals were delicious. Our server was very polite.
Food was good, fries were excellent and service was friendly and better than we have had in some time. Everyone there was pleasant and truly gave you the impression they were there to serve
Have eaten in the past and found out to be ok. Attempted a family birthday dinner last weekend. arrived at 630pm. sat for a bit then ordered (ask for all menus as there is a secondary specials menu). Throughout the next 45 minutes the waiter came to our table on at least 3 occasions advising that some component of our meals were unavailable. We adjusted twice but on the 3rd time, after he also mentioned that none of our orders had even been started, we let him know we'd be going and trying somewhere else. Really disappointing. Not the waiters fault, obviously management.
