I only say one star as their clam chowder was good. We had to ask for water refills, ask for our salads and bread. The salad dressing wanted by fiancee was unavailable so he waited 20 minutes while I ate my salad. Then we were told our entrees were dropped to the floor and would we like to check out as kitchen was swamped and pay for what we had ate. We asked to speak to the manager, who did not materialize. This all took an hour and a half. We ended up eating at Chick-fil-A.

Such great food!! We were a party of 7 and everyone enjoyed their meal! We had calamari and rice balls for appetizers which were delicious. We ordered the pasta with scallops, pasta with clams, osso bucca, and all weee great! Fantastic service!

The host who greeted us was rude, an older gentleman. The food was good, but my vegetarian pasta tasted like shrimp even though there was no shrimp in it. The server was very nice but only came to our table when she had to ; to get our order, serve the food, and give the bill to us.

The staff seemed rather unorganized as soon as we got there. When we were seated, we noticed yellow jackets hanging around. I watched one land on the table and realized it was going after what appeared to be a drink that had been spilled and dried to the table. At that point, I realized the table didn't seem all that clean. The food was ok, but it seemed overpriced for what it was. I wasn't overly impressed with it. The bread that came with the soup could just about chip a tooth. We ordered a cup of soup each and ended up with one bowl instead. We made the waiter aware of the problem. He then brought out another cup and said he would charge the bowl that was previously brought out as a cup. I'm not sure if that actually happened though, because the receipt was hand written, and I couldn't read their hand writing. The salad tasted like something out of a bag. We never received refill or were asked if we'd like another drink, but the worst part was that we waited two hours for our food. We told them when the food came, just go ahead and put it into to go boxes. We were never given any explanation for the wait. My wife and I enjoy going to restaurants all around the country, and this may have been the most disappointing experience of any restaurant we've ever been to.P.S. We finally got to eat the food we received when we got to where we were staying and my wife's was wrong. She ordered a pasta that came with either shrimp, scallops, or both. Ordering both was $2 extra, but in the end, she only received shrimp, no scallops.

Food was delicious. Many food options and an extensive wine list.

I've had the pleasure of dining here several times. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars, was the service. But, just like most restaurants, finding, and keeping employees, post pandemic has been the greatest challenge. The wait staff (particularly Steven, and Ellie) are awesome, but handling an unpredictable reservation load, without support of busboy, and bartender would throw any service off kilter. The food is killer, and there are a few yummy wines on thier list.Go upstairs before, or after, dinner for craft cocktails in an historic setting. With live music after 9pm.

This place is divine! The food is exceptional and how could it not be with ownership of about 30 solid years standing behind it. Everything from being greeted by Emilio himself, to the wine, to each course and our server, Kerri (apologies if misspelled) was genuine and enjoyable! Thank you for a lovely first evening in VA. A wonderful night of dining to the beginning our weekend of exploration here! We will definitely be adding this place to our favorites! Ciao! ?

Everyone in our group enjoyed their meal immensely. Service was excellent. The food is authentic and lovely. It seems to be very popular and I recommend it.
