My husband and I were in town for the Virginia Scenic Railway and stopped at Kathy’s before our trip. The food was delicious, and the bread pudding was absolutely incredible.
What truly made our visit unforgettable was Debbie, our waitress. She was so genuinely kind and warm that she literally brought me to tears. She shared that she works part-time for her customers and said that had she already been retired, she would never have met my husband and me. That really touched my heart.
We left saying we would gladly make the three-hour drive back and we would absolutely return to Kathy’s. It wasn’t just a meal; it was an experience we won’t forget.

I love this restaurant, but today i had an unexpected failure. Ordered Chipped Beef Gravy with biscuits, and all I could taste was flour! Barely had any chipped beef. Expected much better.
Just what you want in a diner! Breakfast all day, good lunches, great service, and the diner vibe! Will be our stop going through Staunton!
