I ate here on 25 April 2024. In a word, bad. I had the beef and vegetable soup and a salad. Mrs had quiche. Kayle was our server. Soup was right out of a Campbell’s can. When kayle brought it to me it was room temperature, forgot to put it in the microwave. She was embarrassed, so was I. Could not find any beef in the soup as promised, guess they figured I wouldn’t notice. The quiche had spent the previous night in the local Kroger dairy case, was clearly not fresh made, but at least it wasn’t cold: they remembered to nuke it. You could argue that ordering quiche for lunch in Staunton, Va is akin to ordering sushi at a truck stop in Alabama (“they said it was fresh!”) but I’m old fashion in that when they brag on the menu how fresh and tasty the eats happen to be, I hold them to it. Eat somewhere else, neither fresh or tasty, and the Campbell VEGETABLE soup (don’t look for beef, there ain’t any) tastes bad. Feeling charitable (and like a chump for going there) I’ll give them two stars. Fred floon

This was our first visit to Kathy's. We visit Staunton quite often and don't know how we have missed this gem of a restaurant. Our server, Heather, was very nice and attentive. The food was top notch! Will definitely become a regular spot on our travels!! Thank you❤️

This is the only good country breakfast place in the Staunton neighborhood other than Cracker Barrel. This restaurant has typical Retro looks from the restaurants in 90's. You will love it. The servers were very nice. Service was great. The omelette was fluffy and quite delicious. The sausage links were great too. The only thing I was disappointed with were the pancakes. It was freshly made, but the taste was not up to the mark. Toast was okay, could have been better.Vegetarian options: Toast, pancakes etc.Dietary restrictions: FlexibleParking: Free parking lot.Kid-friendliness: Yes, family friendly environmentWheelchair accessibility: Yes!

My burger was too well done. Menu is not made for those with intestinal issues though. Waitress was amazing!

Always heard about this place and finally dined here. Was not disappointed. I only gave 4 stars for food because my taters were a little undercooked and the sausage gravy was not to my liking. Everything else was excellent.
