I'd read so many rave reviews about Latin Soul and seen so many mouthwatering pictures that it felt like a long time coming before finally trying it for myself. It came as no surprise that Latin Soul lived up to its strong reputation. Everything down to the plantain chips was delectable and seasoned to perfection. The green sauce was amazing and delicious on everything. The portions were slightly on the smaller side and more rice would've been good but overall, it felt like a healthy amount of food. Service was quick (though we did come in at an off-time) and very friendly! Can't wait to try more from here!

Went with three others and everyone loved it. I was very happy with the ceviche and companions were happy with their entrees. Looking forward to when they get their liquor license as the food would be improved with a margarita or beer. We have frequented this restaurant in the past when it had other owners. The patio in warmer months is probably going to get busy -i really, really, hope the new proprietors can make this work without burn out or the quality going down. Staunton really needs more dining options.

Went for breakfast, only people in there. It was cold in the building, no heat so don't go on a cold morning. , my husband's eggs etc were good, my French toast was gummy on the inside and 4 small tiny pieces, I sent it back and just decided to forgo breakfast. Horrible when you can't cook French toast. Coffee cups had coffee spilled all over the sides of the cups so not sure if they were even clean, i asked the server and she said that was codfee spilled. Okay, Won't be back. The owner misunderstood my first review. Cold temp. In the restaurant, no heat on.

There was no one to greet us when we walked in, so we had to find our own table. The restaurant was cold, felt like the A/C was on. The place was packed and there were only two servers. I know that it must've been overwhelming for the servers, but that is not an excuse to not give good customer service. She walked by us several times without asking us if we needed anything, and when we stopped her to ask for something she was annoyed. We waited about 45 minutes to get our breakfast. The scrambled eggs were overcooked, and I was given one piece of bacon. My mom got bacon with her breakfast, but it was barely cooked. My waffle was okay. I asked for strawberries on it and the strawberries still had the green stem on them, so I basically had to fix my plate and cut off the stems. I know this place has several good reviews, so I was hoping for a better experience.

This was a ho-hum dining experience. We've gotten food here twice (both times takeout, so we can't say much about the service or the atmosphere). The food is ok, but not as good as other Latin options in Staunton. The portions are fairly small relative to the cost, and we have yet to receive an order that was 100% correct. The last time we got food here they forgot one of our sides and made another substitution without letting us know (we understand the kitchen runs out of food, but please just say something at pick up). It's a new restaurant so maybe they're still getting their bearings, and we hope they do well, but it will be a while before we come back.

Just had breakfast here, and it was soooo good! The eggs were good and actually salted, the coffee was good, the turkey bacon was amazing, and the pancakes were the best! Even the side of fruit and the hashbrowns was tasty. Highly highly recommended! What a great spot! I will be back for dinner!

I would pass if asked again. Arrived for breakfast, The server was polite. There were 21 people in the restaurant including my party. 3 servers all seemed nice enough. The problem was the wait time. 35 minutes from order to delivery. Nothing ordered was outlandish. A breakfast burrito, chorizo omelet, and eggs Benedict. I had the eggs Benedict just bland, hollandaise possibly was from a can, and English muffin was thin. The hash browns were baked. Just not a good meal.....for $44

Outstanding breakfasts at very reasonable prices. The chorizo omelet is to die for, as are the churros.

Well I have limited experience but after two meals of the same thing my opinion is that the Mexican torta is great and I need to branch out. Everyone else's food has been great too.

We've been there 4 times now and each time it gets better. There is some good old southern foods as well as some knock down good latin foods. My wife has been to their breakfast and said it's out of this world. Easily in my top 3 best places to eat out -

The Taquitos were really good. They came with a lot of food that could easily feed two people. We also ordered churros and enjoyed those as well. We were placed at a table that the server kind of forgot about, but the owner made up for it. We will definitely go back. The drinks come in bottles, so don't expect refills on you drink.
