Nice local craft beer with old school flavors and holiday varieties. Love the low key feel
I absolutely loved this place! Great selection of original hand crafted brews. You absolutely must have a flight (or share a couple of flights among friends) to experience the variety they have.
The barkeep was friendly and knowledgeable. The warehouse space had a lot of ambiance with hand painted murals on the walls.
My favorites from this visit oct 2025:
Bowman Nutella S'mores 10%
Imperial stout aged six months in bourbon barrels Graham cracker forward (hazelnut & pralines with toasted marshmallow). Bourbon mid pallet. Finish is soft cocoa that ends with a nice high gravity bite.
Blue Ridge Breakfast stout 6.5%
Milk stout aged on local breakfast blend coffee beans. Aged 10 months on roasted coffee beans.
Pronounced coffee nose
Soft lactose forward, beautiful smooth coffee mid pallet, no bite finish.
Stargazer black IPA with toasted rye 7.8%
Rye nose
Forward Dark and rich toasted rye flavor
Just a hint of bite at the finish.
Saison 5% Belgian golden ale lightly spiced with ginger, grains of paradise and citrus peel.
Ginger nose.
Soft citrus peel forward.
Grains of paradise mid palate and soft finish.
I love the area, the history and the museums, but I’ll return just to visit Redbeard Brewing. Loved every single brew I tried. The brew meister(s) are true artisans.
Enjoyed chatting with some of the locals. They have a good price on five ounce samples. Enjoyed everything I tried, but would recommend their current stout.
Fabulous Breakfast Stout. We will definitely be returning.
Love the beer, the vibes and the staff.
I love this place. I last worked in Staunton 5 years ago when it was cool but still figuring things out. They have figured it out. Great microbrews of exceptional quality. They have wildly different nightly events, such as D&D sessions, MST3K viewing parties, trivia, DJ's...
A beautiful little spot with fantastic beer. This whole town is a gem.
Excellent beers and perfect atmosphere
Outstanding brewery. Great variety of beers. Met the owner and she was very nice. She sat down and talked about the business for bit.
Well appointed selection of beers from the lagers to the Belgians and IPAs. I sampled about half the menu and was really impressed by the thought they gave to how they executed their beer styles. Even the saison, which is so often a style that is mistreated or ignored, was fun and yeast phenolic forward. Impressive work and a nice hidden gem (hidden to me at least) of a brewery that delivers great quality in smaller batches.

We were guided to check this place out by a local. She thought they would have something gluten free for me and that they allowed dogs inside.
They don't allow dogs inside, for the record. Dogs are allowed outside in the beer garden, which would be fine if it weren't raining. As for gluten free, they make an in house Lemonade Seltzer, but it was definitely much too sweet for my taste.
My husband tried one of their IPA's and said it was okay, but morning he would try again.
On the upside, the bartender was great, very friendly and knowledgeable, and the atmosphere was nice. Overall, we're glad that we stopped in to give them a try but wouldn't go back again, even if we lived in the area.
This is a pretty good brewery. I had 2 flights and I have to say the beer was great! Hoping to be back soon.
Awesome staff
Great selection of beers and ales. The ESB was very good and the amber was outstanding. Sorry I missed Gizmo , the dark lager. Give Redbeard a try!
Rude male staff member, banged his hand on the bar multiple times at us, unprovoked. Messaged the company. They're response was a thumbs up. Unbelievable. Won't go back.
