We visited for the first time a few weeks ago. The staff was very friendly and we got right in to a table at lunch. The food was excellent and they had quite a few healthy options. I would say the only downside was I ordered a sandwich that was delicious but it was only a sandwich and it would have felt like more to have perhaps some fruit or veggie or chips added to the plate to make it feel like more. But overall we were happy with the experience.

We were passing through Staunton on a long I-64 road trip and needed a bite to eat. After many fast food meals over our 9 hour drive, we desperately wanted something fresh but quick since we were in a rush. Thankfully, we found Seed to Tail. They had the BEST sandwiches, and you could tell everything was as housemade as possible, including (but not limited to) the bread, the spreads, the potato salad, cookies, and more. The muffaletta sandwich was 🔥🔥🔥 and had delicious olive tapenade and giardeneira. The goat grilled cheese was also delicious and the pear was the perfect sweet bite. Our pup was able to join us on the patio as well and got all the love from the staff. We would stop here again in a heartbeat. Thank you!

Hi Cody and Patrick,

The food was fabulous on Saturday! Thank you so much for taking care of the catering details, and for the leftover containers when I forgot to bring some. The food was great! The lemon bars were just the right amount of lemony zing with sweet, the salad was so fresh and delicious (even with the cheese for those of us that like cheese!).. really everything was very tasty. But the Beef Bourguignon was amazing! Even better than the last time we tried it.

Thanks again, it was great to enjoy such great food on such a beautiful and special day.

Regards,
Greg

Highly recommended. Food is super fresh and delicious. Beet and grain bowel had a wonderful blend of flavors. Pulled pork was exceptional too. Good prices - especially for the quality of food served. Glad to have found this nice liitle resaurant in Staunton.

We are traveling and were searching for an organic farm-to-table restaurant for lunch. SEED TO TAIL came up and it looked good. We just had our lunch and it was absolutely 💯 delicious! The Mushroom& Swiss burger was the best I've had and grilled goat cheese was out of this world! Everything we had was delicious and the people were sweet. Next time we are up this way, we will be back!

Such a cool little hole in the wall place. You can tell they use high quality ingredients and the flavors are to die for. I got the patty melt and roasted sweet potatoes. The melt was very tasty but the star of the show was definitely the sweet potatoes. If you stop in they are a must! I will definitely stop in again when I’m traveling through on business.

Stopped along our way from NY to TN, and this place was such a find!! Some of the best food we have had in our 3+ week tour of the East coast! Wish we could have tried more things! We split the Beet salad grain bowl which was fabulous and so flavorful, and the patty melt was excellent, had a piece of pie a la mode which was unique and delish with a hint of cardamom, and almond cake was outstanding. All very reasonably priced for the quality of the ingredients. Even bought some popcorn kernels to take home. Beautiful wine shop and gourmet items as well, merchandised like a gourmet grocery. Take the extra few minutes to go here off of I-81, well worth it!!
