This place was amazing. My husband said his mocha was the best one he had since we have been in Staunton. They had tea that I enjoyed in these lovely porcelain mugs.Pastries were delicious! Loved the atmosphere. Not sure why, but they need a flag or a bigger sign, to bring attention that they are there. If it was not for Google, we would have missed our new favorite spot.

I had the best experience at Serendipity Staunton! The food was AMAZING! I had there made from scratch cinnamon roll and homemade biscuit sandwich! Sooo good!! Also had to try their cinnamon roll iced latte and it did not disappoint! Lovely atmosphere and beautiful decor. The owners and staff are so friendly and welcoming! I wish I could give it more than 5 stars!
While it is a good place to hang out for coffee, I have to say I was so so disappointed with the French toast. First of all it was barely warm( butter wouldn’t melt). It was completely dry in the center. It was described as custard style. Bread needs to be saturated in “custard “ not just a quick dip or spread on top before it it placed on the griddle. Dry and cold. Won’t be getting g this again. They did, however, redeem themselves with the bacon. It was hot and delicious.
We went to Serendipity for the first time today and our experience was perfect. Not only were the staff welcoming and friendly, the food and coffee was delicious! I’m appreciative that the bread is baked in house so we were able to know ingredients for our child with a food allergy. Highly recommend!
Cool and cozy cafe by the train station. Great homemade bread. Good espresso. Worth a visit if you are walking around downtown.

Great place to get some breakfast. I'm full from eating here. Food had a great taste to it. Big coffee cup which is very nice.
We ate at Serendipity with a friend who lives in Stanton and enjoyed our food and the ambiance! It can be a little hard to find, but that is OK because it is predominately locals who patronize this around-the-corner eatery.
I don't usually leave a review, but this is an exceptional coffee shop. They serve great food and different types of coffee, even unique flavors, like blackberry & rosemary latte. But their hospitality is what really stood out. That alone makes this place one of my most memorable first visits and one of my most favorite coffee shops of all time! Outstanding!

Absolutely phenomenal local coffee shop! The space is absolutely amazing and the food, especially what we had ( the strawberry cake ) was delicious. Everything was local and organic. The staff was also quick to serve and very helpful since the place was not super full. Highly recommend stopping by when in Staunton.
The space is amazing, the food is amazing, the coffee is amazing, it's right by the train terminal, there's just nothing you can't love about this place! There's fantastic pastries as well! Super friendly staff to round it. This is definitely a gem of Stanton!! I had the Nutella cappuccino and pancake plate and my wife had the biscuit sandwich. All cooked with love to perfection! The biscuit was authentic home style. So good!!!
I have had breakfast here several times since discovering this place, which is sort of out-of-the-way, in what is known as the American Hotel building, near the train station. Everything I have ordered: eggs, French toast, pastries, sausage & bacon, coffee, etc. has been good. Prices are very reasonable. Staff is friendly and attentive. Some nice, small touches such as a small, fresh flower arrangement on each table says that owners / management care and want to succeed. The ambiance is very comfortable and inviting. Order at the counter, find a seat and your food will be delivered. I heartily recommend the place.
My husband and I had a great brunch here. His latte and my cold brew were delicious. They make their own bread daily and our sandwiches were excellent. I had 24 month aged prosciutto with perfectly melted Brie and fig jam on their fresh bread grilled with butter. We also each got a freshly made pastry. Mine was overflowing with blueberries. We will definitely go back during our stay in Staunton!
