They were too busy talking with each other and getting distracted to deliver good service to us or the other customers from what we saw. We waited 30-45 minutes for our food and while watching them finally prep it, they had no urge to deliver great service to their customers. Then, my husband’s plate was bland as well as my son’s, and my waffles tasted like they were burnt and I barely managed to eat half of it because I couldn’t stand the texture of the burnt areas. So not only did we wait a really long time, our food came out not tasting good at all. I personally wouldn’t recommend this restaurant

Unique idea for an all day waffle experience. Nice light coming in. Bar seats are not that comfortable but might be enjoyed by kids! Music is kind of loud.

You order, then they call your name. When you are done there is a small room to drop off your plates etc. There is free water.

If it feels like a long wait keep in mind they are making it fresh for you. Staff friendly.

I would say I thought it was a little high in price but the food was good. Combo meals and specials always a good idea.

I think the one waffle we got with Oreos was mostly whipped cream with just a little Oreo, I think it should have more Oreo, or a single Oreo added on top.over the sprinkles.

The chicken on that waffle order was great and the flavors were a good combo.

The Elvis was great, waffle crunchy which was able to hold the loaded top.

There is something for everyone and the ability to customize.

It's a great new experience and a nice treat. Salty or Sweet!

They have a good location and a great addition to downtown.

Dietary restrictions: Gluten Free Available

Parking: There is street parking and on the weekend there is a free lot in walking distance.

Waffle delicious. Bathroom clean. Coffee good. Overwhelming menu. Order first then find a seat if they have one. It is not table service. Overall a good experience. Not a large place and expect to wait.

Waited over 45 minutes and spent over $15 per person. Not sure if it's possible for a waffle to be worth it, but this one was not. It was fine, but not worth that. And, it took a LONG time for them to refill the coffee. I would say wait until they have worked out the kinks. Or at least don't go on a Saturday.

We waited about 45 minutes for our two waffles on New Year’s morning. Most of the tables already had people sitting but it wasn’t overly busy. There seems to be no organization in their small kitchen. We were told about 30 minutes after ordering a sweet waffle with strawberries that they didn’t have sweet waffles anymore, only savory and plain. It’s disorganized. The food was good but not worth the price and definitely not worth the wait. We love supporting local businesses but our experience wasn’t worth coming back to.

My wife and I had been looking forward to trying this place for a while. Unfortunately, our experience was lacking. We went for brunch and ordered two relatively simple waffles which, as an aside, regardless of toppings, every full waffle is $15 so the pricing structure didn’t make sense to me. My wife’s 2 topping waffle costs as much as one with a protein and many more toppings but, it is what it is. Thinking our order would be a relatively quick turnaround, we were disappointed that this resulted with over an hour wait. The kitchen seemed somewhat chaotic. We were patient thinking that perhaps they were short staffed and busy with online orders so didn’t rush them or complain. Hoping the food was worth the wait, we were again disappointed as it was bland, undercooked, and our waffles were cold. We had really wanted to like this little restaurant and, maybe we caught them on a bad day, but there’s quite a few kinks that need to be addressed before we’d come back.

Great atmosphere and chicken was cooked perfectly! Only thing I’d change is adding wax paper or something as a barrier between the food and the aluminum tray (gives an odd metallic taste).

When the best food you provide is frozen chicken strips, you probably shouldn't open a restaurant.
The fried chicken was clearly bought frozen and reheated, the white cheddar mac & cheese was velveeta with 0 white cheddar flavor, nothing was fresh and all of the "maple syrup" was artificially flavored corn syrup. This is an extremely disappointing stop, and one that we would never revisit or recommend.

It was good, but nothing spectacular. Tasted like a mix and fake maple syrup. I might try a sweet waffle next time instead of a savory one. They lost my ticket so I waited half an hour before they made it, but after they realized the mistake came out super quick! Employees and service were great!

They used pre-made waffle mix, if you have waffles in your name you should at least make your own mix. Too expensive for boxed mix.

We ordered the same size waffle, both half size aka ½ a circle. I ordered the Farmers Market waffle & my spouse ordered the Sweet Mother Clucker (chicken).

The chicken one was very nice. Full of chicken ( 2 decent sized pieces per triangle) & sides of honey, shredded cheese mix. Onion & pickles to boot!

The Farmers Market one was awful!!! There was nothing much on it. One tiny slice of mozzarella cheese per triangle, itty bitty basil pieces & 3 cherry tomatoes cut in half. There was such a a huge difference in the amount of toppings between these waffles! To say I was disappointed is an understatement. I left feeling hungry. We will never go back!!
Also, everyone was served in Styrofoam take out containers & a plastic bag regardless of if you were eating in or not.

I was VERY disappointed with my experience. The dessert waffle was twice the price and half the size of the savory (half) waffle I purchased. I felt like the pricing was misleading (it said "whole waffle $17" under both the savory and dessert waffles but unbeknownst to me, the dessert waffle was done in a smaller iron). It was lacking in flavor and overall WAY too small for the price. My half savory waffle was $9, had two full chicken tenders on it and much more flavor. I was really sad because my first experience here a few weeks ago was so good I dragged my sister there today. Unfortunately, because of my experience today I will not be back. I felt like the staff brushed me off when I said something (I legitimately thought they forgot to put half my waffle in the container).

Food is good but very over priced. There were a number of complaints from customers, including myself, because the waffle was $17 and about the size of my hand. Some of the staff werr nice but some were condescending. Overall, not worth what you pay

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I’ve had waffles before, but nothing prepared me for the waffle wonderland that is Sweet Addie’s! Tucked away on Beverley Street, this cozy little gem is everything you didn’t know you needed—until you bite into the Sweet Mother Clucker. 🧇🍗 First off, the waffle? Absolutely perfect. Crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and holding up like a champ to the BBQ fried chicken, sweet pickles, pickled onions, and that next-level SweetNanaCakes pimento cheese. And let me tell you, the spicy maple syrup? I’m convinced they bottled up happiness and drizzled it on my plate. 🔥🍯 The playlist was on point, making me feel like I was in my own little happy food movie montage. The staff? The kind of people who make you feel like family, even if it’s your first visit. Warm, gracious, and just plain awesome. If you’re in Staunton for the Queen City Mischief and Magic Fest—or honestly, for any reason—don’t just treat yourself, spoil yourself with the best waffles on the planet! Sweet Addie’s, you’ve got a fan for life. 👏
