A nice cafe that is open early - and the sandwiches are served all day. This fact pleased my son to no end! I had a very smooth mocha and the banana bread, which was soft and moist. i would have been happy to have had seconds of that!

Cute little place, but oddly laid out. They provide outdoor patio seating that sits below street level resulting in a quiet, relaxing ambience. Everyone enjoyed their food. Simple menu of sandwiches, some made with bagels and soup. I think we would all be happy to eat there again.

Really enjoyed coffee on the patio here. Was a little disappointed that my sandwich was made with the heel. It was very hard and I had to eat it open face instead.

While there can be long waits, that’s only because they’re popular and you’re getting fresh, good food and really good coffee and tea! I get chai lattes at coffee shops 99% of the time and this place is in my top 3. They also have some beers that you don’t usually find in Staunton, and I have friends who come here for lunch for that sole reason.

Last week ordered a bagel and coffee, then came to pick it up but added a few more items for my kids. I left with what I thought was my order. They had missed the bagel. No problem, so I called and they said come back any day for the bagel. I was too far when I realized. Today went to order more coffee and redeem a bagel that was paid for and forgotten. I was treated like I was lieing and trying to get a free bagel. SMH. I left because of the interrogation and the disbelief. You WAISTED my mornings twice. I won't be back! ? P.s. and the owner was just standing there. You guys get a lot of people who try to scam for free bagels I guess.

We come here nearly every weekend because it’s the best coffee shop/light breakfast or lunch spot in all of Staunton. The coffee is delicious, the food (baked goods, breakfast sandwiches, and lunch sandwiches) are all so good too. On Sunday afternoons there’s live acoustic music as well, and never too loud. The staff are always friendly and polite. My only tip is get in early or call ahead if you don’t want to wait awhile for food. It’s worth the wait and we never mind, but since it’s a small staff in a popular place, it can take awhile during peak hours.

I purchased the medium roast drip coffee, which was weak, had the aroma of asparagus, and tasted faintly of dishwater. The sweetheart latte was pretty good.

To be fair, my feedback is from a single visit. On the plus side, it’s a great location with a great vibe. The interior is charming and contemporary. It’s clean, including the bathroom. The staff were friendly and caring. Reasonable prices. There were tables to sit although a Saturday morning. The negatives are that although the coffee was good, not great, really had to wait awhile for it to be brought to the table. It was the wait for the food that was the problem. Ordered a bagel with cream cheese and a bagel sandwich with egg, cheese and sausage. It took a long time. I mean long. I could understand if they were jamming with customers, just have to wonder if they had staffing problems or just a bad system. Coffee was finished by the time it arrived. Bagel with cream cheese was good. Bagel sandwich was just alright. Definitely not worth the wait. Maybe a second visit will improve the rating, but would only order coffee

Great local establishment. Always cozy and welcoming. The sandwiches are tasty, and every beer is a banger. Lol, they also have coffee.

We went for coffee and a breakfast baked good. There were no baked items when we arrived at 9:30 am, so we asked for toast with our coffee. We waited 20 minutes and then decided to check on our order. They had forgotten us. When they finally brought our order, it was a piece of dry toast on a plate. When asked, they brought butter and jam. We respectfully told the owner his staff is inept, and he walked away.

Good, solid place for breakfast. I only give 5 stars to places that just blow me away. Most places are actually around 3 on my rating system, so this place is really solid.

Great coffee. Great service. Surprisingly good food. Go there. You will love it. We sit inside if it’s hot, cold or raining outside. Otherwise, we sit out back in the outdoor dining area.
