Fun atmosphere, very chill and a great place to hangout, have a bite to eat, and drink a beer or have a glass of wine. They have a great variety of beers and wines and also a good selection of sandwiches, appetizers, and cheese/meat boards. The staff are very nice. Will definitely be back. We shared the loaded tots which were absolutely delicious and a ham and butter baguette sandwich which was divine!

What started out as a fun spot to check in now and then when we were in town has become a favorite regular hangout in town, whether for trivia Wednesdays or any other day. Great food (salmon toast!), outstanding regularly rotating beverage selection, and the friendliest staff make The Green Room a repeat visit!

The staff is friendly and attentive and the eclectic choice of music volume is set just right as to encourage stimulation conversation. Seating is lounge-like, comfortable and clustered for privacy.

**see update below**This evening we stopped in to grab a sandwich after watching a movie at Visualite. We walked in at 8:25 and sat at a table. The server was behind the bar cleaning up so we waited for them to take our order. At 8:30 they came to us and informed us that we could not order sandwiches because the kitchen was closed. We have always enjoyed going to Green Room and have never had a bad experience until now. We understand that they may not have wanted to “make a mess” so close to closing, but it was just for sandwiches. We were very disappointed.* Update *Benjamin reached out to me about our experience and assured me that he will be addressing our concerns. I appreciated him listening to me, it meant a lot. We will continue to go to Green Room and have our favorite sandwich knowing that we were heard. Thank you Ben!!

I happened to choose the green room for lunch once and then made an excuse to come back a second time within weeks even though I live an hour away. They make some of the most delicious sandwiches and tater tots I've ever had along with a curated drink selection that I don't normally see. It was fun to try stuff I've never heard of! I'm sure I'll be back next time I'm in Staunton.

You might think that a caprese salad needs tomatoes and basil, but you would be so wrong because The Green Room's version with oranges and arugula is *sublime*. I paired mine with tater tots and pumpkin beer, and while it was an odd combination, it all worked because it was all delicious. Top it off with friendly and attentive service, and I will definitely be back!

Most unfriendly place I've walked into. As soon as I entered I felt like someone was ready to tell you to get out. No welcome at all even though they were just standing behind the counter. I will not be going back to a place like this.

Came on a Saturday night and sat outside. This was a great experience! Very laid back atmosphere with delicious snacks and tons of beer/wine options.
Not that this place needs another 5 star review… but I wish I could give it 10! Absolutely superb menu of local brews, ciders, sours etc. Food offerings on point with simply terrific board options and tater tot combos. This is worth a drive out of your way!!
