They treat their employees like garbage. My mental health has deteriorated because of this job. The management is rude and is fake. They took away our tips cus management wasn't making enough. I gave my two weeks to be nice and they didn't even schedule me those 2 weeks. This place is the most unfriendliest place I've ever been to.

BEWARE! I placed an online order through the store's website on 10/23/23 around 8:15 am. The order went through. Charged my card and everything. Told it would be ready around 8:35 am for pick up. When I arrived, the store was closed. Doors locked. No one there. Finally reached someone around 4:00 on 10/23/23. Was told store opened at 11:00 for whatever reason. Been trying to get my money back from the online transaction that went through and order was not prepared or received because the store opened around 11:00 that day, but keep getting the run around that the owner will get back to me. Nothing. Silence. Next step, I will be contacting my credit card company and let them resolve this matter on my behalf because the OWNER is NOT RESPONDING. Unbelievable. I will NOT be patronizing this establishment again. Horrible customer service!!!!

I love their food but it seems they are just not staffed enough for it to be worth your time right now especially if you go during busy hours. Every single time I've either ordered ahead or ordered at the counter, my hot food has been left on the counter while waiting another 10-15 minutes for my smoothie. So by the time I receive my food, it is cold. Honestly I'm not sure if they even honor your order ahead times. I've ordered about an hour in advance with a pick-up time for when I'd be there, come to find out my order has been ready for the past 45 minutes and it was just left waiting for pick-up. Like what's the point of having that feature then? Or maybe I've just been super unlucky. I don't know.

Went to this Tropical Smoothie on 08/14 at 5:50 PM and our server Gianna F was amazing. She and her coworker greeted us, brought our smoothies and food to the table, and everything was tasty… honestly this is probably the best experience in a tropical smoothie.

I go to the same Tropical Smoothie on my lunch break maybe once a week. Today they were the busiest I’ve ever seen them. I’ve worked in restaurants/bars for the past 6 years so I was patient and understood. There was a few rude/very irritated customers as I stood and waited for my pick-up order. The workers still kept their composure and went as fast as they could in the stressful situation, which seemed to have been going on ALL MORNING. I was the last to leave from waiting on my order, I wasn’t bothered by this at all. I spoke with one of the employees who stated they had two large catering orders to be delivered this morning/before noon, which left ONLY one to do orders by herself. This team of what started out as 2 then grew to 4 in the brief time I stood at waited, were so kind and apologetic. I know how crazy it can get during a big rush, especially on a gorgeous day like today, but they did an amazing job.

I wouldn't recommend ordering ahead online for pickup. When I got there, I was told my order never popped up on their screen. I told them what it was & they began making it. I had an extra 25 min wait because of this, but am glad to not be charged again. My name ended up popping up on 2 smoothies which was weird, but I wish they'd let me have the second one too for this mistake. From now on, I'm only ordering if I go in. I didn't get much time before work to eat.

I went into this Staunton, VA location Monday, November 14th to pick up an online order. While waiting for my order to be completed, a young employee entered the store front and loudly announced, “I don’t want to be here”! I was so shocked to hear this type of behavior in front of customers and her fellow employees. What a shame this behavior was not addressed at that moment in the back away from the customers. What I assumed was the manager or person in charge just seemed to coddle her, chuckle and ignore the comment altogether. While I cannot speak for the others waiting for their orders, I was so uncomfortable from that point on, feeling like the message being sent was we need a body in this store, so we will put up with this. What has changed in our society that we now allow an employee to believe they can walk into their place of work and get away with this sort of behavior? I’m not saying she should be let go, but it was certainly a missed opportunity for a life lesson for that young lady.
