We wanted to like this place so badly. At first glance, the menu looks so creative and unique. The walls have a beautiful wallpaper. Unfortunately, this is where the positive experience ends. We came here for the first time several weeks ago on a Sunday at 10:30 and seated ourselves. We normally put our child in a high chair, but the restaurant did not have any. We made do. We were handed paper menus. The orientation of the menu is printed incorrectly, making the print size difficult to see. The solution that was offered to us was to take a picture and zoom in on our phones. Okay fine. When we were ready to order, it seemed like they were sold out of a majority of the items on the menu. Very frustrating considering it was still early in the day. I ordered the pork belly hash, my husband ordered the corn cakes, and our friends ordered the avocado toast, and one of their sandwiches. The avocado was still very firm and definitely not ripe. The pork belly in my hash was fairly fatty and my husband's corn cakes were missing a lot of the savory ingredients that were advertised. I'm guessing they ran out... We decided to give this place another try a few weeks later. We ordered the glitter toast for our daughter which ended up consisting of a dry piece of toast, glitter flakes, marshmallow fluff, and stale rice krispies cereal on top all for $8.50. I ordered the mushroom melt which had an overwhelming amount of salt and ended up being very plain. My husband's breakfast burrito was decent, but the cheesy taters we ordered from their special were also incredibly salty. The menus still had the extremely small font and had food stains. It was evident that they did not have enough of them as they were collecting them from other tables to give to new customers coming in. My piece of advice would be to take the money they got from the glitter toast we did not eat and print out some new menus. Unfortunately, two strikes for us is enough not to want to come back. I really hate to post negative reviews on small businesses like this, but I think the feedback is absolutely necessary in order to hopefully make changes and thrive. Like I said before, the idea behind this place is great, but the execution and quality control is severely lacking.

Went to breakfast at Vic's Eats on a Saturday morning arriving just before 10:00. Vic's Eats opens at 9:00. There were 3 in our party and we were ready to order pretty quickly. We wanted a "basket of biscuits" for the table which on the menu reads that it comes with choice of jam type toppings. We were told they did not have any small biscuits but they offered us 1 biscuit and my sister convinced them to give us 2 as there were 3 of us. One of us wanted "eggs with pesto" from the menu but was told they did not have any pesto. Second order was a breakfast salad take on eggs Cumberbatch which was not brought with the other 2 orders because the water "wasn't ready" for the poached egg. It took another 20 minutes and another reminder before the salad arrived. Neither of the eggs for both of these dishes were cooked correctly. The size of the salad was about the size of a normal side salad but priced as a large meal salad. The breakfast burrito was small. For the prices, lack of coordinating the dishes ordered and delivered timely and for not having items on the menu an hour after opening I can't give this place a good review. I'm giving 2 stars for good bacon and very well done home fries. Overall very disappointing.

This place was awesome! A huge group of us were in town for a wedding and despite the rush, the staff was on top of it! Food was delish, cute aesthetic, and staff was so friendly and happy to have us! Highly recommend.

We had the best brunch at Vic's! The staff is very friendly and we enjoyed the biscuits and breakfast sandwich.

Awesome brunch spot in beautiful downtown Staunton. Very energetic and fun staff. Loved the window seats with a picturesque view of West Beverly Street. Biscuits and gravy were filling, yet not greasy. Eggs were cooked to perfection and the granola bowl with house made granola, Greek yogurt and fresh fruit was light and refreshing. Pretty amazing coffee as well. Great experience all around.

I truly wanted to love this little gem in the heart of downtown Staunton - and if we could give half stars, 3.5 would be more apt. My companion's mushroom melt, tea press, and the ambience of the "shop local" vibe means I'm going to give this place a second chance. But my red eye gravy grits was almost a deal breaker - rather than the flavorful pan thickening coffee infused gravy that I was expecting, the cooking staff piled the bowl with ingredients in a lumpy bowl of grits and poured coffee straight from the pot. The spice level explained why all the hot sauces were available to patrons - hot sauce should be an "option" and not the only option to make things flavorful enough for consumption. But everyone has an off day so I will try again and hope for better results. To end on a high note, the staff were attentive and kind - and the decor was quirky and fun. Fingers crossed that my next dining experience serves food that is compatible with the stellar service from such a cute restaurant.

Must go here! Way more than a coffee shop. Female veteran owned, variety of delicious homemade biscuits, breakfast sandwiches, pancakes, your own small french press coffee. Fabulous! ?

How this place does what it does with so few people working there is a wonderful mystery to me! Stopped in this morning for the first time and found it to be quite warm and inviting. I had the sweet potato hash with chorizo, and cold chai to drink. The service was quick and cordial, And my dish was exactly what I was hoping for, and then some. Very nice variety of fresh ingredients, and the perfect combination of flavors. They were quite busy while I was there, but handled a surprising number of people with no difficulty that I could ascertain. I look forward to going back and sampling more of their menu. I was not disappointed, and will be back as soon as possible!

The flavors were on point but make sure you get there early because they start to run out of everything. Thankfully my husband and I aren't picky but we went for the pancakes and they didn't have any so then we wanted to try the biscuits, all out. What we did end up getting was very good. But if you see something you like on here make sure to get there early. We got there at 12pm.

The place is cute, and the menu looks amazing, but that's as good as it gets. We so wanted to love it and we tried, but it was a full debacle. It was 10 o'clock in the morning when they opened, and I ordered a breakfast bowl with miso mushrooms. Someone later came out to inform us they were out of mushrooms. No biggie, I ordered a veggie bowl instead. A few minutes later, I was informed by someone else, they were out of quinoa. We figured out an alternative, and again no biggie. The coffe was thick and bitter almost to the point Of being undrinkable. My mother ordered glitter toast on a whim. It was literally a slice of sourdough with marshmallow fluff, sprinkled with rice crispies and glitter sprinkles. For $8, I kind of expected something a bit creative and a bit elevated. Had this been priced $3.50, I'd have no complaints, but $8 is ludicrous. My veggies on grits were fine, but horribly under seasoned and bland - Texas Pete and salt helped significantly. Now for the kicker... my partner ordered a breakfast sandwich which consisted of a biscuit with tomato and mayo with a side of home fries - pretty simple. It took over 35 mins to receive the sandwich. When he went inside to check on the order - they had apparently forgotten it. the "cook" then put the raw potatoes on the cook top. Someone else in the kitchen told her she needed to add oil ‍. The potatoes were inedible as they were under cooked. The biscuit tasted like it had been frozen and was so dry and crumbly no amount of mayo coild moisten it - it was pretty awful. It looked so promising and we had such high hopes, but it was the worst $45 I've spent in a long long time. I can't recommend this place.

We found this place online and arrived 20 minutes prior to close and they had shut down most of the kitchen and coffee was not available.

Super cute place located in downtown. Outdoor street seating available. The coffee is freshly brewed and excellent. We had the fried chicken biscuit and smoked salmon biscuit. Both were very tasty. The potato salad was the best that I've had in a while. Check this spot out if you're in the area and need a bite to eat.

I had a appointment in Charlottesville and on the way home I stopped to get breakfast. This place was awesome. The pork belly hash was AMAZING!
