Had a fun visit, staff amazingly friendly, good wine

Valerie Hill

Of course, we had to stop here on the way back to Florida. We actually drove 4 1/2 hours out of the way to visit this Winery and Vineyard. It has been there since 1807, and was recently on a documentary show about ghosts. The gentleman, Josh, said I was the 1st Valerie Hill that had stopped there in the 6 yrs that he has worked there, so he gave me a free wine glass.. Brought home a bottle of their house wine and 3 bottles of their summer flavored sangria. They have music on weekends and brunches. So check them out if you are near Stephens City, Va.

Beautiful scenery and excellent wine. Plenty of reds and whites to choose from. Staff is always happy to give tastings and advice about wine. Food is available, lite fare only. Usually music is available on the weekends. Picturesque spot in the heart of the Virginia wine country.

Love this place, it’s hands down my favorite winery! Staff is amazing, and friendly “Josh always takes care of me and my friends”. The Manor House White is my favorite wine and the appetizer that has fresh bread with Zaatar in olive oil with cucumber sooo good!

A Hidden Gem Worth Visiting: Valerie Hill Vineyard

We had the pleasure of visiting Valerie Hill Vineyard for the first time with friends who are wine club members, and it completely exceeded our expectations! From the moment we arrived, it was clear that Josh and his team have created something special. Their dedication to quality and hospitality shines through every detail.

The wine itself is exceptional—well-crafted and credible. We particularly loved the spiced wine and the sangria, both of which were delightful surprises. The food, however, was the real revelation. The variety and quality of the menu are truly impressive, especially considering the small space they work within. As people who have experienced many restaurants, we were blown away by the thought and care put into every dish. It’s clear they prioritize both flavor and presentation.

The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with a homey, comfortable vibe that makes you want to linger. On the Sunday we visited, there was live entertainment that perfectly complemented the experience. What stood out the most, though, was the hospitality. The staff is incredibly engaged with their guests, making everyone feel welcome and valued.

If you’re looking for a vineyard that combines great wine, delicious food, and a cozy, welcoming atmosphere, Valerie Hill Vineyard should be at the top of your list. It’s the perfect spot to relax, enjoy great company, and make lasting memories. Highly recommended!
