The food was excellent, but I felt the fried wontons were overpriced since they had no filling. When I brought it up with the staff, they explained that this is how they are traditionally served. Still, I think the menu should clearly mention that the wontons are served without filling to avoid confusion.
This might be it fellow Peruvians, I tried the escabeche from the menu today and it tasted like grandma’s, I wouldn’t be surprised if the move to a bigger location soon specially if they reach a wider audience.
The Peruvian food here is very authentic and delicious. We ordered lomo saltado and a trío (chaufa, fried fish, ceviche), and both myself (non-Peruvian) and my Peruvian husband really enjoyed it. We went around 1pm on Sat, and some customers were already drunk in the convenience store (where the eatery is located), creating an interesting vibe… The table was also dirty & didn’t get cleaned up after we sat down.
