I use the giant app to order home delivery. They do many things right: they are on time, delivery people are efficient and helpful. But they often do not bring items I have ordered. This week it was sandwich bread, raisin bread and grapes. How can they be out of these things?
Note; I select the no substitution option because the substitutions they chose are often just weird and aren't what I need or can use. They are a grocery store. How can they be out of bread? Or grapes?

Every Sunday I shop here and produce “Sher is so helpful have smile on his face”, he specially slices the Asian pear for me and packed them in nice clear container just for taste, he is the best. Keep it up

OMG. Just watched a man pick up his dog, not service animal, and put it in his cart and rolled into the grocery store. The same cart you will be putting your produce and food. Management you need to handle this not shrug and say “oh well they are already shopping”. Giant needs to enforce like Target does. Wonder why there are ecoli breakouts? Uncleanliness like this.

Not a fan of self check out. It's definitely not intended for a large shopping trip. Every time the bagging area is cleared to make room for another bag the machine faults and an employee has to reset things. Five times really? Will not shop if there is not an employee maned check out. Pricing on the shelves do not match the receipt prices. Not so good Kentlands.

UPDATE about the MEAT department. This store rarely has top sirloin. Last week, the circular advertised top sirloin on sale. My wife did the shopping. She picked up a package of "petite sirloin" (really a ball tip), an inferior cut of meat. It was labeled petite sirloin, but had been "marked down" to the sale price for the top sirloin. Bait and switch? Now instead of a broiled steak, I will be slow cooking a tougher, less flavorful cut. This has been a problem in the past as I have seen petites labelled as true sirloin. This is a corporate level problem as Giant has been "dumbing down" the union butcher function. When you tell clerks to, "just get it put out," this is what you get.

I enjoy shopping here specifically because Vicky and Peggy are such cheerful and helpful employees. Considering I do all my shopping earlier in the morning, interacting with them is a lovely start to my day.

Fix your self check out system if you care about retention. Come here every week and tired of being accused of stealing by a shitty UI experience (coming from someone who managed self checkouts in Harris Teeter).

They have reasonably priced regular and organic groceries, meats, deli, and milk products. Iles are clearly marked, and the staff is very helpful.
