I'm from a border town and have been looking for some good Mexican food in the area and I have to admit this has been the best. The food was excellent, the service was on point, my glass never went to half before I was served a refill. Let us talk about the atmosphere!!!! I was surprised when I walked in, nice decor, comfortable seating, but I asked to sit at the bar as I enjoy that more. And wow, huge bar and they even have a patio area. I would definitely recommend this place...read full review
Plaza Mexico is one of our go-to spots when we’re craving Mexican food. The food is consistently great, and the staff is always friendly and attentive.
The birria tacos are my favorite and what I keep coming back for, but the carne asada fries are delicious too. Portions are generous, everything comes out flavorful, and we’ve always had a good experience here.
Definitely recommend Plaza Mexico if you’re looking for great Mexican food in Sterling!

Based on the reviews, Plaza Mexico Restaurant is a clean and nicely decorated spot with a fun, family-like atmosphere. The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming, with attentive service from servers like Marisol, Julian, and Daniel. The drink menu has a vast of options, and the food is described as AMAZING and true Mexican food with a variety. Specific meals mentioned include the lunch steak fajita, which was a perfect size and flavored well, as well as chimichangas, fajitas, steak and shrimp, shrimp enchiladas, and tamales. The chips and salsa are very good, and the piña colada comes with a flower on top. While the service can sometimes be just ok, the atmosphere is nice and a little upscale Mexican style. The restaurant is a great place for watching a game, as the staff makes sure guests feel at home and have everything they need.
