The food was not good at all. I got a sirloin dish and my steak was literally like shoe leather. It came with burnt broccoli what tasted like box mashed potatoes. My girlfriend’s meal was also tenderloin steak, and her steak was better than mine, but not by much. Food is a zero. The atmosphere is overly bright, like being in a dentist office, and the seating was horrible. There is a bench along the wall that sits too high for the table and the chairs are metal and very uncomfortable. Also, if you don’t mind hearing every word of the tables next to you conversations, then this place is for you. Very loud for a little place. Just overall a very poor experience.

Me and my husband just went for my birthday and the service was amazing our waitress was so attentive and sweet! We had the pork tacos those are a must have they were so juicy and tasty you can tell they you good quality meat! I also ordered the Sova Burger it was delicious it has a little kick to it which I love. 1000% recommend

**Highly Recommended!** We were visiting Primland and decided to take the property’s suggestion to venture down to the town of Stuart and try Pickle & Ash. After the trek down the mountain, this place exceeded our expectations. The food was absolutely delicious! (Unfortunately, no photos—we enjoyed it too quickly!) Our server, Victoria, provided exceptional service, going above and beyond to make our experience special. We also appreciated that one of the owners, Chris, took the time to chat with us about the restaurant and the town. Please support this small business!!

This place was amazing! We were staying out of town and highly recommend. We got the NC crab cake special and the burger. Both of which exceeded our expectations. Everything was extremely fresh and well thought out. Next time we are in the area, we are for sure coming back!!

Loved the smoked dipped sandwich with all locally sourced and you can taste it
Food was excellent. Be aware they do close for a few hours between lunch and dinner. We showed up around 2:30 and they were happy to serve us some delicious food. They had a drink special lemon drop that was delicious. My sandwich special was a tri-tip steak and it was perfect.

Seriously such a great experience!! Truly farm to table restaurant and the best of that style I have ever had! You can make reservations, but we did not and had no trouble. We did the heirloom tomato salad special they had (oh my gosh!). For entrees my husband had their filet special and I had the ravioli with shrimp. Everything was so good and fresh, even the bread!! They have a cute patio out back that will be fabulous in cooler temperatures. All the staff was friendly but specifically the manager and our server Katie. Katie was amazing! They have local artwork displayed, local drinks for sale. If you are looking for a great local place, this is it!
