What a great meal and atmosphere... the only thing that would have been better would have been live music. You should really make an effort to plan an evening at the Surry Seafood Company!

Set outside on the back deck has the best view. Shrimp stuffed with crab is delicious. Had a great server. If you want a nice seafood place off the main road you can't go wrong here.

Great location on the James River. Fantastic food, so obviously a good chef here. Loved the stuffed flounder, and hot crab dip. Rum punch hit the spot too. Service was excellent (Bo). It was HOT out out...restaurant let us have our service dog inside. Thank you! This restaurant was off the charts good.

We recently had lunch at the Surry Seafood Company while in the area. we were looking for a seafood restaurant, and it did not disappoint!
Our server was fantastic and on top of everything. Our food came out in short time, and it was delicious!
To top things off, the view of the River was fantastic. Every seat in the restaurant seemed to have a wonderful scenic view. We even saw a Bald Eagle dip into the river and pull out a fish!
Afterwards, we walked down to the marina and enjoyed a few minutes there as well.
Highly recommend, and worth the drive to dine here!

The crab soup and the crab dip were excellent but the ribs and shrimp basket were not good. Everything was dumped on top of each other in a small basket instead of a larger basket that would keep items more separated. The fried shrimp was tough and covered in rib sauce that was heavy with vinegar. When we addressed the issue with sauce on everything the waitress no longer came by to refill our water. Just really not the pleasant experience like we were told it would be. All she asked was what I would like her to do about it. Do you want to see a manager? Not the service we would expect to get for $90 for 2 of us!
