This was our second trip to Tangier Island. The first trip was 20 years ago and we remembered the fabulous crab cakes we had then. On this visit, we went to Lorraine’s, which was the only sit down restaurant on the island. We went there at 11:30 upon disembarking from our ship and were one of the first ones there. Our waitress, Danielle, seemed extremely rushed when she took our order of two crab cake sandwiches. We noticed another couple from our cruise ship seated...
You have got to get a Lg Ceasars Salad with a crabcake and an order of fries (or a seafood platter if your bikini is forgiving lol). So dang yummy!! Grew up with some of these folks and NO ONE does crabcakes good like Tangier. Ladies working at Lorraine's are so sweet and just ooze that southern hospitality. Sat and soaked up all the small town beauty; the accents, the fresh food, families together laughing, locals and tourists coming and going....nothing like it. Going back...
Had a nice lunch today. Crab cake sandwich was good, as was the flounder sandwich. Nothing special, but a good, solid meal. Enjoyed chatting with our waitress. Will
