528 Prime Steak & Seafood

Arrived at 4:15 received 3 slices of pizza and an order of wings an hour and 15 minutes later with a total of maybe 10 people in the entire restaurant. Waited another 35 minutes or so to get the other 2 orders of wings that were all ordered at the same time. Was told the server was new so much grace was given to this young man. Large sign displayed in the restaurant that read happy hour 3-6, a special that we’ve received on several occasions when dining here. Get our ticket to be told you can only get happy hour pricing if you sit at the bar. Asked the server when we arrived if it was happy hour and he said yes but did not disclose that you must sit at the bar. Spoke the another waitress about this “new” change and she expressed how they as employees did not agree with the change. Asked to speak to the owner, he never came to the table to talk to me so we left. Very unprofessional and need to be clarified. Good chance we will not dine here again.

The absolute best pizza I have ever tasted! My husband and I were passing through Tappahannock and never expected a local restaurant to have Italian food that rivaled the best we’ve eaten in any city. Atmosphere is versatile, both classy and casual. The owner is warm, welcoming, and eager to offer an exceptional dining experience . Desserts are delicious! WONDERFUL!!!

Price for calzone was $10 on menu. Charged me $15 plus $3.00 for pepperoni. Said the computer had the updated prices.🙄 We won't be going back.

Had lunch on Saturday. Chicken Marsala and bruschetta was excellent. You know it's a good menu when you have a dozen meals you want to try. We will be back!

I miss the original 528 when Luigi and his wife ran the restaurant the food was well worth the price you were paying I've been there twice since the new owners took over my last visit I ordered a pepperoni ans sausage pizza the same pizza I use to pay 20 dollars for cost me 28 dollars only to get home and find out it had sausage and red peppers instead of the pepperoni and it was cooked in the regular oven instead of the wood fired oven total let down needles to say my family will not be going back there unless I hear that Luigi and his wife have the restaurant back Sorry 😢

The food is excellent and so is the atmosphere! I’ve tried the seafood, the fresh beef and Italian food and fresh pasta. They were all very good! Next we try the pizza! Worth the hour drive for a good meal.

Best pizza this side of Italy. New ownership. Fabulous. We will be back for sure next time through Tappahannock.

I don’t think there’s a more authentic or better restaurant within 60 miles of Tappahannock. Alex and Tony are the real deal. Hearing them speak Italian while cooking or crafting pizzas at their new pizza bar is part of the full experience.

I’ve watched them create incredible dishes and still make time to visit every table, personally greeting each guest. Every time my family or neighbors have come in, they’ve stopped by our table multiple times to chat and make us feel welcome.

The food is consistently a 10/10. I’ve had pasta, tomahawk ribeyes, pizza from the brand-new oven, red sauce mussel linguine—every single dish has been outstanding. You can tell they truly love what they do and are committed to making a lasting impact in the community.

I would 100% recommend 528 Italian American Restaurant for parties, family dinners, or events. Any reason to come here is a good reason. It’s a fantastic experience every single time I walk through the door.

Bottom line, Alex and Tony maybe the last few guys who truly understand Hospitality!

Food was excellent. Staff was friendly and helpful. Wait time for food was short. Owner came over to the table to check on us. He was very friendly and polite. We went for lunch. We would definitely recommend and we will be going back.

Amazing food and service! Pizza is the best I have eaten in years and my bar is pretty high 😉 Great prices for excellent quality. My only criticism might be put those LED lights in the dining room on dimmers.
