Went for the first time on Monday evening. Food was delicious. Staff were attentive without being overwhelming. Other diners felt comfortable talking with one another -- what a great atmosphere! Despite there being a huge group celebrating a birthday, our meals arrived promptly, piping hot, and well prepared. We will definitely return.

Great food and atmosphere. I don't normally write reviews, but these folks deserve it. The owner, Alex, is so personable. This will be a go to spot for me! I'm glad I stopped by. You will not be disappointed!

The service was excellent. Mr. Alejandro was very friendly and a great person. My husband and me, enjoyed the food. It was great.

A very bad experience. Do not get the crab cakes. The crab cakes was mealy no crabmeat. I don’t know how they call those things crab cakes??? I read another review saying the same about the crab cakes. Waitress needs to learn how to serve her table. Not standing at the head having customers pass items down the table to individual that ordered it.

I wish I could review the food but I never got to. I called and ordered over $100 worth of food, was told it would be 20-25 minutes. Drove all the way there from another town, pulled up and got told they didn’t have my order. That they weren’t even taking phone orders because it was Mother’s Day. I confirmed the phone number I called and the woman confirmed it was their number, but they didn’t have my order and didn’t know why anyone would take my order over the phone. The girl said “No one took your order because we aren’t doing that.” Someone took my order, even repeated my order back to me, told me the price and how long it would be, then I drive all the way here to be told I’m SOL.

EDIT: The owner, Tony, left me a nasty comment on my review (that he has since removed), telling me my review was defaming his restaurant and he would take legal action. I contacted him and he then began apologizing profusely and blowing up my phone with multiple messages telling me he’d fired the woman that took my order and begging me to delete the review. Then, when I told him my family and I were no longer interested in eating at his establishment, he took it upon himself to try and insult me further. Tony seems to have major anger issues and his business is suffering for it.

My wife and I visited this awesome restaurant tonight and it was everything we expected plus. We had the oyster Rockefeller, wings with sweet Thai sauce, meat lovers pizza and crab cake dinner. The crab cakes had very little filling, they were awesome, the oyster Rockefeller was the best I have ever had anywhere. The wings were juicy and cooked with perfection, the pizza had the original Italian taste, awesome. 5 stars for me. We will be visiting very soon. Customer service was great as well.

This was the first time eating at 528. It was a pleasant surprise! We weren't that hungry so just ordered appetizers and salads... Oysters Rockefeller and Scallops plus Chicken Caesar Salad and a Wedge Salad.

The Oysters were the very best we have ever experienced. They were large Oysters with pieces of shrimp added along with the great toppings you expect... truly amazing! Then the Scallops were served with pieces of pork belly and a special sauce... unbelievable! The salads featured what seemed like fresh-made dressings and the salads were large and excellent!

Overall, portion sizes were much larger than expected and more than the price reflects for sure... a great value for fresh seafood delivered daily (the owner told us)!

Servers were very attentive and polite... overall, we can't wait to eat at 528 again when in Tappahannock!

Summary: don't overlook this gem. Perfect for a date night dinner or a family meal.

We were greeted by the staff and seated with no delay. Our server came promptly and we were served warm bread and drinks immediately after sitting down. As we finished the bread, the appetizers arrived. The main courses followed immediately after we finished those. The timing was great. I didn't feel rushed or forgotten.
All the food was perfect temperature and completely mouth watering. My drink never ran empty.

The last time I was here I had their signature pasta and I've been thinking about it ever since.

I think the best part of the meal was the owner coming personally to our table. A smile and a handshake and a genuine happiness to share his food with us. The pride showed in every bite of the meal. I will definitely be back.

We came in for a quick lunch, it was 4 of us and there was 1 other table getting ready to leave… we ordered salads… took quite a while to arrive but when they did they were fabulous… Greek Salad was large and flavorful… fast forward to trying to get our server to return to pay bill and get to-go boxes.. we ended us having to go to the bar to find her… we were then each overcharged by 3.00 per salad. When we pointed it out to the manager he said we must have the wrong menu and walked away…. 5 minutes later the server comes out with our change and didn’t make the correction, just said it’s not on her, it’s what the register typed up… 😳 sad because the food was really good, however customer service was terrible and indifferent.
