After years of thinking about the former Lowerys in Tappahannock, where once some of the best food in Virginia was on tap, I heard about its latest incarnation as Italian-American. Cheryl and I stopped there on our way back from Hampton. We were amazed. 528 is not just good, it is amazing! Creative dishes is an understatement. I would put Tony’s food up against any of the legendary restaurants in our Baltimore’s Little Italy. I think 528 would win hands down. The great tasting...
A wonderful place. We met a friend there on Saturday as it's half way between where she lives and where we live. We were able to take our time with friendly wait staff and the food -- just wonderful. Fresh calamari -- probably the best I've ever had, lovely pizzas and the pasta is home made which makes a huge difference. We will be back.
The absolute best pizza I have ever tasted! My husband and I were passing through Tappahannock and never expected a local restaurant to have Italian food that rivaled the best we’ve eaten in any city. Atmosphere is versatile, both classy and casual. The owner is warm, welcoming, and eager to offer an exceptional dining experience . Desserts are delicious! WONDERFUL!!!
