Small town location and vibes. It is a welcome, nice setting/feel for a chain restaraunt. The staff are kind, interactive and diligent. The service was good and the food was good and nothing was wrong with our orders. We didn't have to wait for 30 minutes or more to be seated.
I recently ordered the salmon meal for pickup at Applebee's, as it used to be my favorite dish there. Unfortunately, the salmon was dry, chewy, and completely flavorless, and the mashed potatoes and green beans were equally disappointing. According to Google, 'Chewy or rubbery salmon is often a sign of being overcooked, where the proteins tighten and expel the natural juices, resulting in dryness,' which pretty much sums it up. On a positive note, my order was ready...
We paid close to $40.00 for 2 takeout salads, including tip. The salads were not up to the salads when we have eaten in the restaurant. We were not pleased at all, hardly any tomatoes at all
