I was taking my favorite leisurely route home to the DMV via Rt.17 and stopped in for lunch. It was moderately busy at noon when I walked in and grabbed a small table by the window. Service was great, the coffee amazing, and I enjoyed the Rueben panini with sweet potato fries and a flat white.

Went in and were greeted and told you pick a seat anyone and someone will be right with us. Waited 5 minutes. Had a waitress look at us from by the coffee and speak to girl who greeted us then walk to hallway by the bathroom. She then walks back out and proceededs to go to the table next to us that wasn't even done sitting down and asked what she could get for them. I went to girl who greeted us and told her we would go somewhere else to eat since people who just got there while we were seated and waiting were being serviced before us and also told the girl at the register. We are from this area and have gone there often and never had service this bad. Have been there when it was jam packed and had better service.

I can always count on delicious food here. It tastes like proper home cooking but with that artisan glare that takes it above and beyond most restaraunts. There is nothing that feels fake or forced, just good quality food people and atmosphere. I ordered a “flight” of lattes! What a great way to open the senses up to trying different types without just having one big one. I am a vegetarian, my husband is not. I really appreciate all the options and accommodations at well. I got the deluxe breakfast sandwich without the ham and it was delicious! Hubs got the country fried steak and cleaned his plate! Also there is a very special person that works here. He once gave me a note and it may of saved my life. He is a special human and you are lucky if you run into him! The ladies, the baristas were just wonderful. Thank you for putting love into it!!! Props to the chef! They deserve upmost props and respect!!!

This is a nice find when visiting a nearby town. You’re greeted by a nice young man that gives a handwritten message about God. The food is good and reasonably priced. The signature jack is like a glazed donut without the glaze which is just delightful with or without the cinnamon or powder topping. IT’S NOT A PANCAKE. You could drive by it but you’d be sorry. 😂
