We are in town at an AirBnb in Aylett. So we decided to come to Tappahannock and look around. Not very exciting but we read online about this place and it had 4 stars so we decided to stop in. It took quite a bit of time to get our drinks and orders in. The salad bar is included with some of our meals, so when we went to get up there was no lettuce. We let the person know and they said "they'd get to it." We ordered Calamari and it took 20 minutes and we had ordered 2 but apparently ordered the last one. They didn't have enough for 2. I also must have ordered the last Pepsi because they only had enough for one. The food was not spectacular and it was all coming at different times. They had a party going on in the other room so I guess I'll chalk it up to being short staffed, but do yourself a favor and keep driving.
They were out of Oyster, Tuna and Veal. My boyfriend wanted me to mention there was no windows. Beware of a restaurant without windows. Lol.

Definitely not a family restaurant.

Server was neglectful and had no personality. "Homemade" chicken salad had to come from a can, at best. There was no chicken it. There was barely a smudge on the bread. It was on special! The server never came back after bringing our meals, so I never had the opportunity to order anything else.

The food has always been great. Tonight husband and I finally got the chance to enjoy a night out without the little ones. Food in person is great, booze is great, and service is great. We drank good wine, ate good food, and people watched. It was the best time. It was mostly the company, but Roma definitely helped.

Three of us has the 1/2 serving of pasta for lunch. It comes with a very well stocked, fresh salad bar and bread. The marinara sauce tasted authentic and the pasta was cooked perfectly. With drinks (tea, coffee and a beer) the bill was $54.00-well worth it.

Salad bar was good. Our other meals were not very good and the sauce tasted like it was out of a can. I hear their pizza is good. I will not go back.

They offer a gluten free menu. I had a shrimp dish that was perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. The GF sauce was delicious!
My husband ( who is not gluten intolerant) had the fried flounder! He stated that it was the best fried fish that he had eaten in quite a while.
There is a "all you can eat" salad bar that accompanies their entrees along with 2 side orders.
They do serve beer and other alcoholic beverages as well.
The staff makes you feel very welcomed there. I would highly recommend this place.

I used to order food from there alot. I don't know if the employees are new but the Last two times I've been there it wasn't great. I ordered carryout tonight. Cheesesteak with the bun toasted, bacon and cheese fries. When I got there they charged me for the pizza but gave me everything else but the pizza and told me I didn't order one. So I had to sit there while they made it and my Cheesesteak was not toasted. The bun was wet and mushy. Either hire new people or lose business because they have already lost one family that will not be returning
