Ice Cream Shops near Toms Brook

“LOL I never thought I would be reviewing a Dairy Queen, but we're in a middle of a pandemic and there's not much for me to do :) So my boyfriend and I wanted icecream after dinner and the only icecream shop that was open was Dairy Queen. We hadn't had it since were were children, so it was a nice nostalgic treat for us two. We tried the Oreo Mocha Blizzard and it was decent, it was more bitter because of the coffee, but I was hoping it was more chocolatey than coffee. I guess if you like the bitter taste of coffee you will like it.“

“It’s a bad habit, but I eat a scoop of ice cream most nights after dinner. When traveling, I eat ice cream every chance I can get. The result is I’ve had a lot of ice cream and been to a lot of ice cream shops.Today, I visited Sugar Creek for the first time. I got the peanut butter overload shake. It was the best shake that I’ve ever had. Period. And, given all the ice cream I eat (and probably shouldn’t!), that’s saying something!“

“Best soft serve ice cream between Berryville and Shennandoah (and my waist proves my expertise). The owner has resisted changing suppliers. This soft serve is creamer and smoother than the competition. We live closer to another place but drive the extra distance for this.“

“Ice cream is delicious, staff is friendly, but be prepared to stand in line for awhile. Picnic tables with umbrellas set up to enjoy the treats and right next door to a couple of thrift shops to browse when you're done or grab a sub before and finish with some ice cream. Within a few minutes walk to the main drag where you'll find a lot of other little fun things to do.“

“We were here from out of state to visit family.Good ice cream, interesting and unique options, good & friendly service. I do wish they had more flavor choices. The menu display could really be improved. It didn’t define what the dishes were for us out-of-towners. Luckily the service was friendly and happy to answer questions. Their hours were better than their stiffest competition which is how we ended up trying them out. They had very steady traffic from locals which is a good indicator.“
