Excellent experience from the moment I opened the door. Greeted with a big smile by one of the sweet servers. Quickly met for a beverage by the second. Recommended the meatloaf and it’s divine! Not a typical diner. Think 5 star with smaller space. Tables could be sanded and repainted (no more shine. Prob bleach) but doesn’t change this perfect 5 star experience! Best place to eat before Roanoke off 81. Cute little outdoor patio and clean restrooms. Thank you for a great dinner!

The brisket is always on point every time I eat here. They have great breakfast too.
The food is always good, but we were sorely disappointed to learn that they charged us a 7% fee for placing a to-go order, and we picked it up ourselves. In addition, they charged us an additional 3% fee for the to go 'goods,' I assume, referring to the containers they put our food in. And we paid a tip before realizing they added these other fees.Needless to say, we won't be getting take-out from them again unless they drop these fees. It is the principle of the matter in this case.
