I stopped in for some mongolian beef and some black pepper chicken and I was pleased. The store appeared clean and orderly and the staff were very nice. I have eaten here before today 4-25-25 and will again!

This spartan little restaurant has succulent pork lo mein. $30 will feed two people easily. Portions are perfectly sized and the staff is friendly.

I had a very strong taste for sesame chicken decided to go here as close to my home. The fried rice was bland and the sesame chicken was so tough we could not eat. One meal was $14! We won’t be returning.

Some things are not as good as other Chinese locations such as Blue Ridge's China house and Hollin's China Star, for instance fried protein dishes and Rangoons. Fried chicken dishes can be good depending on quality at the time while shrimp can be small and over coated, beef dishes are consistent and shrimp dishes are very good. The Rangoons are triangle shaped and heavy compared to the pinched Rangoons you can find else where. They also do not give as much sweet red sauce as other locations. Rices are usually moist and flavorful if choosing an option other than plain. Overall this is a good, clean and friendly establishment that always has plenty of traffic

Came despite some recent negative reviews because my mom wanted Chinese and I felt it only right to leave a more updated review than others I had seen. The floor and tables are very clean, and I even peered through the curtain to the kitchen and it also looked clean (clean floor, cook station also clean). The food was very tasty. Vegetables in our cashew chicken and chicken fried rice were very bright and tender crisp, chicken wasn’t chewy or gristly. Also ordered egg foo young which was also excellent! Nice crisp on the outside, but not dried out.

The place seems like it needs maintenance. I enjoy the szechuan sauce, but I ordered Crab Rangoon also. They were mushy & inedible. Stuffing was sweet and weirdly unlike any cream cheese & crab I'd ever had. Awful. The egg roll & the Rangoon tasted like rancid oil. I don't think they change it enough. Once I had chicken and veggies where the chicken tasted like a freezer. Old. For $18 for lunch and an order of Rangoon, I won't return. They used to be good. Sad.

If you are not ordering by phone, you will have to wait while call in orders take priority. You could already be in line ready to order but if the phone rings, you are immediately deprecated while a phone order is taken and placed with the kitchen staff then if they have something else to do while in the kitchen you wait on that too. IMHO, if you have taken the time to come into the restaurant, you should be given priority. I won’t be back and for me this place isn’t worth the drive for take out.

This has been one of the most recommended Chinese restaurants around for years, but when I tried it for the first time in years tonight, I was very disappointed. I got general tso combination plate and crab ragoons. Sadly, only the egg rolls and fried rice was edible out of all the food I got. The crab ragoons tasted weird and the breading was so chewy and hard at the same time I could barely take a bite, didn't taste fresh or authentic. The chicken had gristle or other strange chewiness to every single piece, the sauce was congealed and also had a very strange taste to it, not spicy as menu advertised, no flavor besides that weird chemical after taste. I couldn't eat any of my chicken and it was the main dish. Everything tasted either pre made and reheated or straight up store bought/frozen and heated. Nothing tasted fresh or authentic, I'm left still hungry and disappointed ? The only perk is their food was fairly cheap which is good since my money was wasted. I would not recommend this place or return

Been going to this place for years. That ended today however. I first noticed when walking in that my shoes were virtually sticking to the floor with every step like I had residual adhesive on the soles. Apparently they rarely mop thoroughly out in the dining area but have brand new tables. I got my usual C9 General Tsos Combination with pork fried rice and egg roll. The second piece of chicken I bit into after carrying the meal home there was a loud crunch sound in my mouth and I knew it was a foreign object immediately. I fished what was a small piece of rock out of my mouth and discovered that I had a chipped tooth. This was absolutely a piece of limestone rock and nothing else. I bagged it in a Ziploc and a couple hours later went back to the restaurant and presented it to them and told them what had happened. In broken English they simply told me that there was no way that had happened. I showed them the chipped tooth as well while they insisted nothing happened. The only thing I can figure is that the kitchen is as dirty as the dining area, and there is a back door they use to go in and out of for smoke breaks etc. and small rocks are tracked into the kitchen area. Apparently one of the pieces of chicken hit the floor while tossing in the sauce and it was picked up and placed back in the bowl. Otherwise the supplier of the sauce is to blame but I feel that is not the case. If you were ever to step foot into the kitchen there I doubt you would ever eat there again. Just from peering into it from the counter it looks disgusting. There was ZERO remorse or apology presented by the one person there who speaks English and typically runs the counter. All she kept saying was no no no, we never have rock here. Sorry, but you did and I have dental damage now and will never return simply due to the response I received. Had they been the slightest bit remorseful I would possibly have continued being a patron. It will be tough to not go back but I have other options with better food nearby, and I doubt I'd get the same response from any other legitimate restaurant in the area. I wasn't even looking for my money back. I wonder if they would have denied it also had I been dining in right in front of them.
