Never again. Absolutely ruined what could’ve been a nice lunch.
I came here for a late lunch and decided to sit on the patio — it was a gorgeous day, and we were the only ones out there except for one man a few tables over. After ordering at the counter (you seat yourself), we found the perfect spot with a mix of sun and shade.
Our food came out quickly, but the energy from the staff was off — not one person smiled, and everyone looked like they’d rather be anywhere else. My back started to get hot, so I lifted the patio umbrella to adjust it for a little shade. Immediately, a woman stormed over with the most unpleasant attitude, scolding me like I’d just done something terrible. Her tone and expression were unnecessarily rude — completely uncalled for. Told me if I wanted the umbrella I should just move. I didn’t want to move honestly. We were already comfortable and just got our food…that’s weird.
At that point, the entire mood shifted. What should’ve been a relaxing lunch with my son turned uncomfortable and awkward. I told them I’d just get my food to go, got up from the table, grabbed boxes inside, and left. Didn’t even touch my Stromboli that was brought out 5min before.
Between the lifeless atmosphere, unwelcoming staff, and being treated like a problem for simply adjusting an umbrella, this place lost me completely. Zero warmth, zero hospitality. Would not recommend. I’m sad I wasted my money here and should have just went to North ridge down the street.
Not to mention, the way they respond to reviews on their page is so unprofessional. Can’t wait to see what unhinged response this gets.

Absolutely the worst sub I’ve ever had. Bread was like a rock, mushrooms were just thrown on top uncooked. Never used to be like this. Miss the old owners. Definitely will not be back and do not recommend
A very nice place for a casual meal. Service was fast and kind. We had the cheesesteak pizza, which was fine. $23 for a large pie and a soda. Plenty of parking. Seems like a great place for family dining.
Friendly service extremely patient driver can't really comment on the atmosphere since I had it delivered. Food was phenomenal. Prices was extremely reasonable. Was told about 45 minutes arrived way sooner? Would definitely order again.
The food was great. Had the Philly. Steak and cheese and the calzone. So I can't really comment on the atmosphere. But food was soo good. Prices was extremely reasonable. Delivery guy was vary patient, felt bad as I was out locking up my truck. As he was trying to call numerous times. I was yeah.I'm told approximately forty five minutes. Arrived way sooner, hence. The reason I wasn't expecting a call. And would definitely
Do it again!!!
Didn't eat in so I have no reference on the interior. The meatball sandwich could have used another meatball but it was tasty.
One of the best areas for Italian food. Delicious, reasonably priced food. If you go near it, please go try it. Been going here for over 15 years. Absolutely amazing food !!!!
Great food and fast delivery. Only complaint is the online ordering is kind of confusing when selecting or deselecting something. I would get charged 0.50 for selecting “ranch” when the menu item shows it is supposed to come with ranch.

I had never been here before & was pleasantly surprised. You place your order at the counter when entering, but you can take a menu to your table while you decide on your order. The food came out quickly, cooked well & the perfect temperature. The staff was very friendly. This small appearing restaurant actually has plenty of seating & is definitely a hidden gem.

A Slice of Confusion at Little Maria's Pizza & Subs
Welcome to Little Maria's Pizza & Subs in Verona, VA, where the menu reads like a culinary dare! I decided to channel my inner adventurous eater and ordered the infamous "Pizza Burger." Now, I know what you’re thinking: who goes to a pizza place for a burger? But this was no ordinary burger; it was a burger dressed up like it was ready for a night out on the town!
Toppings Galore!
The toppings were the real MVPs of this dish. Picture this: pepperoni, gooey cheese, and all the pizza vibes you could ask for—like an Italian party on top of a burger! They were well done, and I’d even say they were the life of the party. The bun? Solid choice! It held everything together like a good friend who doesn’t let you fall flat on your face after too many drinks.
The Patty: A Culinary Mystery
But then we come to the patty. Oh boy, if that burger was a movie, it would be a low-budget horror flick titled “The Dreaded Hockey Puck.” Seriously, this thing was overcooked to the point where I half-expected it to start bouncing around the plate. Flavorless and gray, it was like someone had taken all the joy out of beef and replaced it with… well, nothing. It’s a shame that the star of the show turned out to be more of a supporting actor who forgot their lines!
Fries That Steal the Spotlight
Now let’s talk about my sidekick: the loaded fries. These little golden nuggets were the best part of my meal—crispy, cheesy, and topped with bacon like they were trying to win an Oscar for Best Supporting Snack. I had to eat them with a fork because they were so loaded that they practically needed their own zip code! Each bite was a flavor explosion that made me forget all about that sad little burger.
Final Thoughts:
In conclusion, if you find yourself at Little Maria's Pizza & Subs, skip the Pizza Burger unless you’re in the mood for a culinary game of “Will It Chew?” Instead, dive headfirst into those loaded fries—they’re the real stars here! Just remember: when life gives you hockey pucks, load up on fries and keep smiling! 🍟✨
