This place has a quaint, charming vibe- at least from the exterior and the street it's on. Inside, you'll find the tables crammed together and the crowd reminiscent of an assisted living supper club- all of the literally old, old money folks of Vienna I guess... but hey, we'll all get there eventually! Service was friendly : ) The food I would rate as good for the money, if the price point was 10% less it would be better and if 10% more, it would have been mediocre. Overall, it felt circa 90's kind of nice, worthy of at least a try for yourself.

First time at Bazins on Church. We arrived a few minutes earlier than our reservation and we were seated immediately. Since we had an early reservation, it was too packed when we got there. Our server came over right away to offer water and show us the specials menu. My husband ordered a pear martini that he said was good, but boozy. I just had a soda. For appetizers we split the jumbo lump crab meat spring roll. It was more of a deconstructed spring roll with the slaw on the outside. It was delicious. We appreciated that he took the order of two rolls and split it between two plates. For dinner my husband had the Atlantic cod and jumbo shrimp over cheddar grits. He said the cod was a nice portion, but with only 2 shrimp on his plate it seemed a bit pricey and he expected at least 4. I had the blue cheese crusted flat iron steak with red wine reduction and garlic herb fries. The red wine sauce made the blue cheese watery vs crusted. While I know flat iron steak isn't the most tender cut of meat, this was pretty tough. The fries were good, but would've preferred them to be more crispy. We shared the broccoli frito...very good, crunchy with a nice kick to it. We will definitely be back. Nice place to go, great decor, with an upscale casual feel.

Great dishes to check out while meeting up with friends! Cute area in Vienna. Check out this place if around!

Always a neighborhood gem. Good food, charming service, fun vibe. The Bazin family continues to thrive in Vienna. It is also so nice to see staff appreciated. While I was waiting, chocolate chip cookies were being distributed to the hosts working hard on a Saturday night.

Always consistent great food, professional staff and a very friendly atmosphere. We’re lucky to have Basins in Vienna, it’s one of our favorites.

Always have great food and service at Bazin's. A little overpriced for what you get. Also, if you mind a very crowded dining room (tables are very closely packed together) or do not like loud dining areas (they did not do a good job soundproofing the dining area, especially with such close tables), this place is not for you. Also, the waiting area turns into a peep show...waiting diners staring down the current diners trying to ‘eyeball' them to leave. Yet, I think the food quality is worth any negatives

Tried this place for Vienna restaurant week and all considered if that was them showing off, then there's no need for us to go back. Lackluster food, ok ambiance (radio music was good), terrible cocktail - server tried their best and was very pleasant but nothing is fixing the 'meh' of the place. There are way better places within walking distance.

Delicious food - literally everything we tasted was superb! Friendly and knowledgeable service - extra kind when I left my to-go container on the table and Shawn (Sean? Shon?) brought it all the way to my car! We were first time patrons to Bazin's, went for restaurant week but ended up trying several dishes from the menu. Can't wait to go back!

My husband and I went to Bazin's on Church last night for dinner. We had never dined here before and Viennas restaurant week brought us in. They offered a 3 course meal of selected dishes for $45 per person. I cannot say enough how attentive Stephanie's service was during our dining experience. We shared the house made ricotta. For our first course, my husband ordered the chopped salad and I ordered the Smokey, spicy, cheesy chicken empanadas. For our second course my husband ordered the crispy branzino and I ordered the tomato risotto. For desert I had the sundae and my husband had the Granny Smith apple crostata. Everything was absolutely delicious.

Great food, good service. We indicated it was for an anniversary dinner but I guess the restaurant didn't catch on which is fine, but other restaurants have done something special here

I booked this for a business dinner. We had a large party (12) which they definitely worked to accommodate however, they did not tell me it would be in two tables. I would have liked to know that in advance. The two tables were next to each other but still, they should have told me that's what I was getting. Beyond that, food and service were very good.

We dined on Valentine's Day. Bazin's was busy but the service and food were outstanding. Our waiter timed our courses perfectly. At no time did we feel rushed. The appetizers and main course were the best. Bazin's never disappoints.

We opted for the Valentine's Day dinner special and found it to be a good value and a strong offering. I really enjoyed the Peruvian chicken thighs as a first course mostly because I like aji amarillo and it was very well prepared. The duck and beef courses were fine. Service was excellent considering the volume of business and very crowded dining room. Overall, it was a fine dining experience.

Went for Valentine's Day. Waiter asked if we have ever been and we advised "yes, but over a year ago. He asked why so long and after we finished the meal, we remembered why. First, service was actually quite stellar. Ambience is good and thats about where the positives ended. We each had the filet that was accompanied by broccolini and potatoes au gratin. Price tag $48 each. Filet was roughly a 6 ounce filet (likely smaller though). The glaze on the steak did not pare with the flavor of the broccolini at all. One has a lemon-salt base and the other more of a mushroom base. The filets were cooked spot on but for tenderness scale 1-10, about a 6. The potatoes lacked anything remarkable and had an overpowering blue cheese flavor.

Cute place. Packed on weekend. Friendly wait staff. Food ok but not great. I got special filet mignon, and grill flavor was very strong. Not cooked as desired. Apple crostata was tasty. Overall good, not great.
