On a grey, drizzley day as I melancholally trudge around the house, I mentioned that I missed British pubs and my husband surprised me and the kids with a "drive". To my HAPPIEST of surprises, he found this beaut; They have cask pull ales and the classic draughts. It made my whimsical heart so happy! Since we had JUST had lunch at home, we celebrated with a sticky toffee pudding AND a bread pudding (and of course a pint each)!Parking: It's just a tight, tricky parking area with not a WHOLE lot of spacesKid-friendliness: They are allowed.

Food ranges from good to great.Trivia on Wednesday night is super fun!Because they're so great they're usually always busy so sometimes they're a little slow vis-a-vis service but the atmosphere makes up for it.Vegetarian options: Limited vegetarian and vegan options but it is possible.Dietary restrictions: They do have low-alcohol and non-alcoholic cocktail options.Parking: Their own parking lot is very small and almost always very full. You can find parking nearby at a walkable distance. Most/all parking in the area is free.

A bit out of the way for me but had heard good things. Because it’s away from DC there’s free parking, which is always a plus. Service was very good in this casual yet very comfortable setting. Food was also very good. Their specialty is fish and chips, which my wife and son both had (filling) and I had the chicken and leek pic (cooked perfectly and delicious).

I went with a friend for brunch on a Sunday and it was pretty darn good. I returned a week or so for a late dinner bite after the wife I got finished a capital hall event. This time the food was blah blah not great. With what these places charge for food these days, everything better be great evertime.

Great place to grab a little piece of England and, if you are like me, enjoy a Premier League soccer game. My wife and I watched Arsenal beat Liverpool this last Sunday. I ordered the roast beef dinner and she ordered the cod and chips. Both dishes were delicious and the staff and service were outstanding.
